I promise this won't take a year to beat LOL. Moving forward, this will be the main focus for uploads, mainly because of how much work it'll be. Not even from an editing perspective...but from a playing perspective 😭. I thought I was ready but if this episode tells me anything it's that I'm NOT

Good Luck all I can say is recruit palmon get across the bridge and get vegiemon in the jungle asap it will make your time much easier with better meats, save some big meats from palmon for a trade later on, there's so much to unpack with this game having recently gone through the game myself there's just sooo much your gonna need help with Idk even where to begin xD Honestly online guides for digivolution are your best bet for getting through this crazy game you said that DSR had too much the training in this game takes sooo much time ontop of figuring out way to go so be prepared for long hours of nothing but gym equipment later it gets old fast.... roughly around the middle point of the game its going to feel tedious after the 7-8th time you've had to go through it, I went for 100 prosperity the max amount so I know all about it xD Sorry Jam you'll spend more time at that equipment that exploring/playing the game
also sell your bigger meats from time to time for some easy cash, you can buy meats for cheap once you unlock the shop from coelamon by going south east to the coast south from the bridge and finding him and getting him to join the city, they're only 50 bits each and a big or large meat sells for much more, you should only need 1-2 standard meats to feed them if they're hungry early but it consists throughout the game smaller meats are better for food purposes the bigger meats come with more weight for certain digi forms so sell some bigger meats buy the cheaper so you'll make more profit from this early and be able to afford restoration items easier, late game with ultimates you'll take 4-5 meats roughly to feed them if they're really hungry so 200-250 bits of food vs bigger food which makes more bits than this selling them,
the happiness bar has 2 bars, happy yellow face = longer life, unhappy red face = less life length, same with the bar under it for discipline it's confusing as heck but this should help understand it: Like the Happiness bar, you never see the entire bar, you only see one half at a time, the higher half or the lower half, either the 00%-50% or the 51%-100% part, depending or your Digimon's current Discipline.
If the little face next to the bar is a yellow one with glasses, then you know you're seeing the higher part of the bar (51%-100%), then you can tell that if it's half full it means your Digimon's Discipline is at or around 75%, if full, then 100%.
Now, if the face is blue with black glasses, it means you're at the lower part of the bar (00-50%), and if you see it half full, then you can tell your Digimon's Discipline is at or around 25%, if empty, 00%.
So when your Digimon's Discipline is... let's say around 55% and it drops to 45%, the bar will switch to it's lower half, replacing the yellow face with glasses with the blue one with black glasses, showing you're below 50% of Discipline. I hope this helps you!
VIR is digi poops on the ground, you reach a certain amount you will become a Sukemon and will have to eat the poop with your digi or numemon can do this too, keep this low if you can.
Numemom and Sukemon are terrible in this game but you'll need numemon for later for toy town, until you get good moves these digimon are near useless so you can wait out it's life and get something new or kill it off but this comes with a risk because if you lose all your lives and revert to a digi egg you can lose knowledge on moves you learn and not pass them over, so spend hours doing nothing or get a new digi, numemons kick does nothing and is soo hard to hit same with sukemons attack

@@Jamm3r Yessir happy to help beleive me I tried to go through the 1st half of the game blind it was a nightmare till I started looking stuff up but even then it was still crazy trying to get through it, care mistakes are the most annoying and there's no tracker AT ALL in the game, you have to find out what care mistakes are Pooping on the ground, not being fed, losing fights, over training them, not sleeping and they can affect some digivolutions and keep track yourself
I also recommend going to the right to a cliff through the jungle area, it looks like just a cliff but is an invisible path you have to walk up to a certain point and mash a button to trigger it, you can find monochromon and he upgrades the shops with portable toilets so it's much easier on new areas or long journeys as you can barely get through 2 screeens before your digi does his business, some digimon can only be afforded 1 care mistake or none at all so it's a pain to do this one, lots of reloads and shenanigans

Seeing you get numemon three times in a row brought back so much nostalgia and rage. I played this game as a kid but never got far. Great play through can't wait for more
Damn, Jam. Literally had the same tough time with Kunemon. He bodied me and my boy over and over. Smash that L1R1L2R2 during "Finish" moves and fill that bar for the "perfect" attack.
This game is a gem. I would advise to collect the items from Tokomon first then collect the meat from Tanemon. I wound not fight Kunemon without having 1000hp and healing items.
Had this playing on my TV. Had to get my laptop and come thru just to like and comment on this video. Digimon was my absolute bread and butter back when I was a kid and I can tell 100% I am going to love this series.

Kunemon’s eating the foliage to the right of the city square to give you quick access to that part of the forest and the bridge connecting the jungle. Pro tip; go see Colemon again, you won’t regret it.

If your digimon dies in battle it counts was one care mistake. So you have got two care mistakes for dying to Kunemon

As a kid I more commonly got Tyranimon. In a revisit, Numemon was also my first evolution.
Despite seeing a couple runs where my brother's Digimon died. I never saw moves being lost.
If you lose all 3 lives I believe that's when you lose moves
That was the weird thing, I never saw that happen. I knew about tamer level dropping from it. I might've missed the part losing moves because I was a fairly dumb kid when I played World.

Kunemon has always been my Digimon partner ever since I was a kid and also when I played this game back in the day ha ha I love that he was the big boss for you you have no idea how awesome that is to me Kunemon is my all time fav Digimon 😂 and It was so fun watching you do this play through Brostar it is the funnest play through ever you need to do a full one for sure! 💫💫 💯 💯

This is from my personal experience and can be different from others who have played. The Tamer Level plays a part in which digimon you can get. The higher your tamer level (Max is 10) the harder it is to get Numemon. You start at tamer level 0 (Lowest) and getting a certain digimon like Greymon or Centarumon can raise it up by 1 level. Train only certain stats like you did in next order. Every time the digimon poops on the floor (care mistake) the gauge which is below the discipline slowly fills up. When it's full the digimon turns into Sukamon. When you get a certain champion, try to learn stronger attack moves by fighting other digimon that uses moves you can learn. It'll help when taking on stronger digimons. Tyrannomon can learn Magma bomb from the Goburimon where Palmon was and Megaton Punch from the Gotsumon at Great Canyon passed the invisible bridge.

You cracked me up when you gave Kunemon a giant meat and lost all 11 digimushroom on first defeat. A single digimushroom would have sufficed.
As others had already stated, you just spam the L+R buttons during finish. This is also evident on your earlier fights but make sure you time your finish when the enemy isnt attacking. Once they do an attack animation AND you use Finish, just expect that you will get canceled.
Also, just a small editing tip, you may want to have the buzz sfx when transitioning to be a lil bit lower because its the loudest SFX i can hear.

Still an amazing game to this day (3 was my second favourite).
Next Order feels similar but I don't know, they never nailed that comfort feel of the 1st (the game also gets too easy & doesn't have a NG+ for Hard mode).
It's kind of strange not having the medals from 1 in Next Order, trophies/achievements don't feel the same to me.

"Modoki" means "Imitation" in Japanese. So it's something like "False Betamon". It's indeed not virus, but data/vaccine, and if a slightly more yellowish hue.

Losing does count as a care mistake, but like I said in the stream, on early game weight will probably be what ruins your evolution path. That's because you start with a mon that's already on Child level and the game isn't balanced enough at this point for you to even out how much weight you're losing with how much you need to gain. So you might need to force feed your mon.
For some mons, even if you get of the most stats you need, if the weight is not there, you'll probably end up with Numemon. It gets easier as you gain access to food that gives you more weight though.
Next 0rder starts you off with everything, but the Brains Stat is what gives you new commands in past games. And the game music is playing at 2x speed, so you might need to mess with the emulator configs.
And if your digimon dies by battle it doesn't inherit stats gains or skills, and you can't pick the egg it'll hatch from, so you're pretty much starting from 0.

@@Jamm3r basically, it comes down to World 1 counting Evolution Requirements differently from the rest of the games, but if you keep that in mind, you probably won't struggle with getting anything other than Numemon

sadly I never got to pass or finish this game. Its why I want Namcobandai to re-release all the world games. I want the chance to say I pass these games. one of the things I hated about world 1 was it was very vague with what to even do. its pretty much just gather the residents.

I loved this game as a kid but I could never 100 percent it because I never got the Snowman guy to come to the city.
It's the stupidest method: take your babiest baby level digimon and make him freeze his ass in Freezeland (gets super unhappy then sick. Maybe helps if hungry?) and frigimon comes to save you
Also way back in the day I think I was like 7 maybe 8 I had a hacked ps1 and had a burned cd of digimon world and thats lowkey where my love for it started, I was so ass all I could get was numemon but I also vaguely remember getting Nanimon and Monzaemon at some point but I never got much further then the town tbh lmao

3 loses means 1 death. Death is very fuking bad for you. U lose all techniques and inherited stats. Charge your finish with L1 & R1 bro. You could of had kunemon with a small charge . Get brains up a bit . It gives u alot more control over your digimons actions every 100 brain stat. Watch digimon weight too
From what I understand weight is a big factor to evolutions right? I've gotten a couple comments about charging so I will 100% remember
Yeah weight, care mistakes and all stats effect evolution. Evolution in this game isn't exact science though so it's tiny bit random.

This game for me is pure nostalgia! I was young when I played this game & it was the toughest game I ever played as a kid! My first ever official strategy guide book was ordered through Waterstones book store, back then buying stuff online was literally not possible 😂 I had to wait for the order to arrive in store & then come collect it when I could....even with the strategy guide I struggled! The book lists every digimon & what you have to do to get them except the ultimate 3, I can honestly say I grinded this game for so long to the point where I got a phoenixmon by natural talent....It felt so good!
This games music, mechanics & gameplay are so iconic it's fuking legendary! Hands down my all time favourite Digimon game. Replaying this game on steam deck now as an adult is fuking amazing!👏

I hands down love the editing in this lol I've done video editing. This takes time and care and passion and man you showed it all. Love it!
this game is amazing, I think you just need to do 50% of it's content to finish, so I discovered a lot of new things even at the second time playing it, when I made sure to do 100%, using tools like "Digimon World Recruitment Helper" can be helpful and have minimal spoilers, but going blind is also super doable, I would just recommend maybe the evolution tool, to not get numemon 100 times, because the evolution requirements can be a little strict depending on your digimon, but for the love of god, use save states at least in the shop minigame, it is an RNG fest
here some tips if you want
losing lives reduce the life spawn of your digimon, if you die much, you will not be able to reach the last form, but there is also some secrets evolution when dying
lot's of people make their babies poop around everywhere, but this will also reduce a lot the life of a digimon, don't do that, be a little patient while training and wait to see if the digimon want something before keep training
yes, special training will cheat, don't use it
apparently, the game have a bug that your digimon can poop while sleeping, I don't think it causes a care mistake, but will raise the waste bar, I always try to sleep in front of the bathroom to try to avoid this bug, but I don't know if it's works
don't use the jukebox, it will crash the game
mash R1 and L1 to raise the special atk bar, you could have won against kunemon doing it, but it was hilarious that you lost, lol
tyranomon is a meat eating machine, will be hard to raise it for now, but he is one of the coolest digimons, so it is ok
there is a trick for easy money you can do later in the game, if you wish, I can share with you, but it is not needed, having max money will give you a medal tho.
save the happyshrom for later, it will help you

Yeah the game is a little clunky at times and there are a few soft locks that can occur so watch out for those. My advice if you don't use google, always talk to Jijimon with a strong champion or above and remember if you lose a battle they can take items and as I found out as a kid playing this they can take some "Key" items (pun intended). No spoilers just advice to avoid true horror.

Also you can get Kunemon as a partner by having an In-Training sleep in Kunemon’s Bed (can’t recall if it was just sleeping in the area or if there was a specific part you interacted with). Chances are about 50/50 it’ll evolve to Kunemon on waking up

Yea unfortunately digimon world is Numemon simulator unless you have a digivolution guide or get very lucky in training the right stats and make that digivolution your go to and hope to someday get lucky with an ultimate 😂
