Hi Aryan. Icosahedron is made up to 20 triangles, therefore, there are 60 sticks (20 x 3 ). I'm sorry for the late response.

Can we use glue gun instead?

Yes but it will be hard to do. The tape will stabilize the model. I recommend to use tape first, then glue gun. Sorry for the late response
