It might be selfish of me to make requests but please, if there are moments of lamy’s heartfelt conversation, can you post it as well? One thing I love about lamy is how she expressed her feelings that usually hard to say because she’s a streamer, and usually as a streamer, they are there to entertain people. So, most of the clips out there are always clips of only what the translators think is funny and interesting for viewers. Honestly, the "don't forget about me" part hurts the most cause I recently had to say goodbye to the Vtuber who got me into this rabbit hole. I hadn't been coming to her streams in quite sometime and then I learned that she's graduating and I felt so bad for not popping up even once in a while to see her. Right now, Lamy is my number one and has been for a long time. I don't think that will change anytime soon she's got me hooked but I can see how not everyone who watches will stick with her till the end. Sephira already graduated when I made my first comment, in fact her graduation stream was quite literally 2 hours after Lamy's 3D debut so you can probably guess how gut-wrenching going to her last stream felt. The reason for her graduation was cause the fortune-telling site she apparently worked for went out of business. I was actually surprised cause I thought for the longest time she was independent. From what I heard, she plans to continue vtubing but I have no idea if she'll go indie or join a Vtuber company like Hololive or Nijisanji. But yea, it sucks seeing the Vtuber that got me interested in this rabbit hole graduate especially since I had stopped coming to her streams.
It amazes me that these hololive girls can put out 12 to 15 hours of content each week, sometimes more and stay in a mostly positive light for thousands and deal with every one trying to pry into their IRL. If anyone says they don't deserve the money they get than stop bothering watching or don't mention it bc you don't know how other people live. They are real people with tragic and depressing things in their past. Just try to be positive for them.
Amen. The quality of the content, and in the case of the ones in Japan with dancing lessons, etc, they are all busting their asses in doing the top work they do. Look at Cali being up for over 24h recording and still streaming. I've nothing but respect for them and their efforts.

Then we drifted apart for 2 years, since he transfered to another school. When he was transfered back and we were reunited... someone asked him who his best friend was, and he couldn't answer. I was sitting right in front of him, looked him in the eyes. And he couldn't answer that. That's when I got hit with the blunt reality that people come and go, no matter how close they are to you. I dunno, that was to be expected I guess, but... it still hurt.

We did get reunited eventually, but since years have passed and we took different paths in life, that "brotherly bond" was pretty much gone and we kind of felt awkward around each other.

Tbh, she was the reason i jump into this hole. I know hololive since 1st gen to 3rd gen back then but that not enough make me jump into the hole until i found her. Weird enough i never stay in their stream until done, but somehow i found myself tuned in lamy stream (her 6 hour mc after she back) from start to finish. Forgeting her or make her 2nd kinda imposible for me as her stream was my reason staying in this hole 😅
Only when we've been emotionally burned will we learn to mature about how our favourites come and go, whether it be anime, musicians, food, content creators, video games. Streamers are just a new paradigm, the parasocial, a new take on an old concept. They sell their time for ours in an ever growing and saturating market. It's just how the entertainment industry is.
While I admit I have quite a number of favourites in Hololive, I have an "oshi" for every gen. In the case of the 5th gen, it's Lamy, and will always be Lamy.
Lamy's not my number 1, but she's damn close to it and only because I don't like changing oshis. In fact, Lamy offers a comfort that is completely unique to her that my oshi can't replicate. It's nice.
I know it's hard, cause you inevitably compare yourself to the others and their numbers. Well... I'm not really into Idol-oshi stuffs so I don't really have any favorite. If I can say, I love them all. I love how they interact to each other and do stuff together. It's like watching an anime titled "Hololive". That's why instead of picking one as my favorite, I choose to love the whole Hololive instead. Yagoo, A-chan, Enma-chan, and the cute cameraman that recorded Lamy's 3d debut are also included of course.

It seems pretty stressful and miserable to be a TH-camr, let alone this sort of idol VTuber that requires you to get a large group of people emotionally invested in supporting you as a person. As Aki already explained, it can be hard to feel like you're falling behind or not seeing as much success as you feel is expected of you, and you'll end up blaming yourself or starting to feel like you're not as interesting or likeable as your colleagues. Or even if you're doing really well, the pressure of maintaining that momentum can also get to you, as Fubuki expressed a while ago.
That was cute but in reality unless you are a top simp donator member they will not remember anything about you, not even your name, you won't be noticed as someone different from any other in chat because there are thousands of comments every minute. You do not have to worry for them to feel bad unless you are a top donator and member and you suddenly stop supporting someone.

Well... I'm not really into Idol-oshi stuffs so I don't really have any favorite. If I can say, I love them all. I love how they interact to each other and do stuff together. It's like watching an anime titled "Hololive". That's why instead of picking one as my favorite, I choose to love the whole Hololive instead. It seems pretty stressful and miserable to be a TH-camr, let alone this sort of idol VTuber that requires you to get a large group of people emotionally invested in supporting you as a person. As Aki already explained, it can be hard to feel like you're falling behind or not seeing as much success as you feel is expected of you, and you'll end up blaming yourself or starting to feel like you're not as interesting or likeable as your colleagues. Or even if you're doing really well, the pressure of maintaining that momentum can also get to you, as Fubuki expressed a while ago.
