Starmer is asking the watch dogs, Ofwat, Ofgem, Ofcom, the railway regulator, etc, for ideas to improve the services is equivalent to asking the fox to manage the chickens. Any fines imposed by the regulators go straight into government coffers and don't improve customer satisfaction who face ever increasing bills for very poor and unsatisfactory services.

Tim Bonners comments about gifting assets to avoid IHT are not as straight forward as he implies, there are other rules outside of the 7 year rule. IHT should be abolished .
Less tax, less quangos, less government spending of taxpayers' money on white elephants.
