In my opinion, THIS is the right way to teach a new concept. Take a real life situation, highlight the challenges therein, get people thinking about possible solutions and finally introduce the concept you're trying to explain and show (don't just tell) how it solves the (real-world) problem. Helps one really understand what the new concept is all about, what's the reason we need to learn about it and it's relevance in the real world.
What most sources (books, articles and even videos) do instead is use a variation of jargon-filled, ultimately meaningless rubbish like this =>
"Service-oriented architecture is a style of software design where services are provided to the other components by application components, through a communication protocol over a network."
Reading this provides near-zero addition to your understanding of the concept, the only exception being a tiresome ability to parrot newly learnt buzzwords in an attempt to appear knowledgeable when in fact you are anything but.

I absolute love this guy!!! I was so confused about SOA - this was terrific and so simplified. I don't care it was a dumbed down to the bare minimal but dammit...now I understand after about one hour of research!!!
