I find this video very helpful! When will you do a tutorial about Behind the back side swings? I would like to see you breaking it down just like your other video tutorials!!! 🤩🤩🤩

Appreciate it bud. By behind the back side swings are you referring to the rope going in reverse and during the side swings one arm is behind you?

@@Jump15official Wow! you've noticed me Kyle! 😲 Am really a fan and been watching your videos since I start jumping rope for months!!! Oh by the way, i am really interested on that behind the back side swings that I watched on some tutorials here in yt (you can refer to them like rush athletics) I mean, he's great but I'd like if you had that tutorial breaking it down like all your tutorial videos. I like how detailed your tut vids was.. Hope I could watch it soon👀 Thanks kyle!

Thanks for the great motivation man! Really helpful as I'm training double unders for a while. PR is 65 with the crossrope speed set rope. Goal is 100+ before 2021 :)

@@Jump15official fatigue is the big one! I notice that I could barely do one double under if I attempt to jump after a 35min HIIT conditioning. During my good days, I noticed that I could barely do higher jumps without the rope after I managed 20 DUs in a row. 😂 I’m going to start using the sprinting like you said in the video and see how it goes. I have the Elite beaded rope, but I can’t even manage one double under with it yet since it’s heavier than I’m used to. I’m in the process of losing some fat as well, and I’m hoping that DUs is easier if I weigh less? 🤣🤣🤣
I will report back my progress around end of Jan! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

One other thing you can do is practice hitting the jump height without the rope. I should've added that into the video. But rope speed and endurance should help you out since you can do around 20 already. You'll still be practicing the jump during the doubles as you build to more.
For jumps, Do like 3 sets of 20-25 (your current DU max) reps to start building that quickness off the ground as well. (Do this without rope)
      Go get it Amber!🤘

Biggest issue remains donkey kicking so string 2 or more DUs remains out of reach. I can go from SUs to a DU back to SUs, but multiple DUs doesnt seem doable now.
My coach gave me a simple excercise that seems to be helping. Basically, stand on a curb with my heels hanging off, drop to the ground and bounce back up, just keep repeating that. Now I need to work on timing b/c I'm back to landing on the rope when I try a double under...but no donkey kick.
Next video: how to do a mic release! Does rope type matter? It seems like my beaded rope doesnt want to follow along, but I'm probably doing it wrong.

Work on single under rope speed. Get comfortable working at high speeds there and then when you do transition to DU's you won't have to worry about that aspect. It will also take some of the stress off jump height.
That sounds like a good drill to help end the donkey kick.👍
Unfortunately, I haven't ever learned the mic release. Haven't really ever been interested in learning releases. Maybe I'll play around with it. Regarding rope type, I don't think it matters technically. I've seen a guy to them quite well with the 1 lb Crossrope. However, for beginners it is better to have a short handle beaded rope in order to learn the technique of spinning the rope. Check out @jimmysaysrelax on Instagram. He is a master of it and I think he has done a tutorial.
