I saw someone say pink is your color but dang this blue sweater you open the video with is my new favorite on you. It brings your coloring alive!
It makes her eyes just pop! The shade of pink she chose does the same. It reminds me how important it is to choose colors that are in your “season” . I have never specifically gotten my colors done, I know some colors that work and don’t, but don’t know the whole spectrum of colors I should be looking for since I cannot only wear fuchsia and teal. And now that my hair is natural silver, ash blonde, and some light brown. It makes me think I have to reassess because my hair was a more golden blonde which is very far from silver and ash blond. I have to do some research and reassess my whole closet!!!

The pink shirt is amazing on you! We should never listen to the "rules", but always go with what we like and what feels good for us. I love the pink jacket and the blue sweater and the plum zip top. Great video! You are preaching to the choir: LOL! LOL! Talbots has been a primary apparel store for me for over 30 years! As I have aged and changed sizes, the clothing has always been great for me. Over these years, sometimes I feel the quality has also changed; this has not deterred me. In a teaching career, volunteer positions, musical performances, family and traveling -Talbot's always keeps me stylish, "put together" and complimented. You look wonderful in this video featuring their apparel! Great fun to see "live" sharing of the offerings!

As we know, women’s sizing is not always consistent. I concur that bright color is necessary in the dead of winter. I’m also with you on classic styles, like loafers and navy and black pants. You did good!
You look good in the vibrant jewel tones. I like the first blue sweater. I like the burgandy cashmere sweater ..too bad it is itchy. The pink jacket is too big. The striped sweater is very cute...but too long. Regardless of us shorty's having a tummy, Tops that are too long, really do not hide our stomachs and make our legs look too short.

I love the pink puffer coat on you!! For heavens sake --- you live up in the hinter land ( compared to Kansas City, Missouri where I live), and your winters are not fun!! One thing I will say if there is anything you don't like about an item, it doesn't matter how much it costs, you won't wear it. Time and time again when you reach for something, it won't be those items like the coat that is tight or the sweater that is itchy. Send them back. If you are itchy now it will drive you crazy.

What a great haul! I liked all the looks on you but of course the itchy sweater would definitely go back. I really like the blue jacket and the scarf with it. The way you had it tied not much of the green was showing. You are doing really well with your weight loss so maybe you could use it for walking until it's looser in the shoulders? The blue sweater and the striped sweater and perfection! Gotta love Talbots. I noticed on all the petite items the sleeves were the perfect length for you.

Even so, you'll find if it's too small in the chest (blue jacket) or has itchies (burgundy sweater) you won't wear them and you'll regret buying them. Definitely keep all else. I'm so glad to have found your channel! I'm also plus petite. 5'4", so sometimes that petite and sometimes not. Such a hard place to be for good fit and quality. The blue sweater and plum zipper top look amazing on you. I think we have similar coloring so it's so helpful to see suggestions that might really work for me!

I really liked that cashmere sweater on you. The colour and jewelry made it look really dressy and classic. If you are uncomfortable perhaps Talbots has an alternative in that colour.
I'm neither a petite or a plus size, but I LOVE Talbots! I also am broad-shouldered, and I have the same problem with jackets/coats as you -- often, they run small in this brand. Also, the blue is really your color with your blond hair, but that striped shirt is gorgeous on you, too!

Hi Cathy…Talbots has been my favorite place to shop for my wardrobe for the past 30+ years. What I’ve learned about their sizing through many different sizes as I’ve aged. And unfortunately lost more than 3 inches of height, is that the petite sizes are typically a couple of inches less width than the regular plus sizes. Regarding the blue jacket, I usually do go up a size for outerwear because I want to be able to wear a variety of tops from a long sleeve shirt to a bulky sweater under my coat. I’m familiar with the petite sizing, and the 3X petite shouldn’t make much of a difference in the length of the sleeves. I would definitely give the 3X petite a try! Also, you looked great in the burgundy sweater! I agree, a cashmere sweater should never itch, and should also have long sleeves. I haven’t purchased any of the Audrey style sweaters because of the sleeve length and the neckline (because I don’t like it for me). None of my cashmere sweaters from Talbots in past years have been itchy, and I have super sensitive skin. Congratulations on your weight loss…keep going!

That’s pretty much standard for all petite clothing. Even when I was in a size 4. Two regular was too small, 4 regular was too big but 4 petite fit perfectly.
I love the plus size clothes from Costco. The quality and fit are amazing.

Your haul is wonderful . I would return that beautiful blue jacket and itchy sweater even though they look great on you. Maybe in another month you can revisit the blue jacket if you lose more weight. The stripes make you look slimmer! And such beautiful colors! Well done. Keep the scarves!

Love the plum zip top and the blue square neck sweater. I would send the burgundy sweater back, anything itchy. The teal coat send back due to the width issue. I always roll up the sleeves if I need to. Pink jacket is so cute and flattering color. Really cute shoes.

You're not going to be moving bales of hay - haha! You don't do that anymore 😅 And OMG! The striped sweater is a winner, too! Just saw the pink jacket - it's too big. Get it a size smaller because it's adding bulk being too big.

I love shopping at Talbots❤ I’m a petite,but not a tiny one!! It’s hard to find petite clothing, and I can always find things at Talbots. I wait for the 30% or 40% sales too. Pink is my color too so I’ll be getting the striped pink top and the pink and black scarf. Congrats on your weight loss!!!!

My idea about the teal blue coat: Find a good seamstress or tailor. That person will have exceptional access to fabrics (Nylon or Polyester) that will match as precisely as possible. Have the tailor install a reverse, double-ended box pleat between the shoulder blades; and have the tailor install a tab extension with an appropriate looking button or SNAP. This simple design hack will also increase the appearance value of the coat. I would keep the coat, it looks very nice on you.

Wonderful idea weight consultant. I have an outstanding internist, fabulous cardiologist, physical therapist and NOW a female internist who does weight control work. Both jackets are very nice, the pink color is a little more upbeat, but the blue color is beautiful as well, maybe more versatile, and will fit better around the arms, as you lose more weight. You’re looking great. 🙂 love what you chose.

I hate being uncomfortable in my clothes…..I have the same issue with coats…..very broad shoulder but if it fits that area, it’s too big elsewhere! I can’t wear wool or cashmere unless it’s blended with something. You look great in those vibrant pinks and blues.❤️
If you’re unhappy with the blue puffy jacket I think you should return it. Also, won’t you be layering it with tops under it because of how cold it is up in Canada? It would be hard to layer it if the jacket is already a little tight. Like someone else said, you’ll never wear it if you’re not happy with it. Plum looks great on you. The top with the halfway down zipper looks so pretty. I’m gonna look for that sweater/top. The stripe sweater looks really pretty on you. Oh, and congratulations on your weight loss!

You look so good in all the pinks and plums - keep them all. That blue jacket is great but even as you lose more weight I think you will continue to be uncomfortable in it. As you say, you have broad shoulders. That's structural. That won't really change significantly as you lose, and neither will the construction of the jacket. It's too bad because it's a beauty (and looked gorgeous with the scarf) but you won't wear it, and you'll feel sad every time you see it in your closet. Better to feel - and look - GREAT when you put on thar striped top, the pink jacket, or that lovely plum half-zip pullover. Great video!
