Top ride, my advice is hold the gear for longer e.g. rev it harder and for longer before shifting. Just like Elvis said to Doug Henry "you gotta rev it, you gotta rev it like you've never rev it before in you're life . . . thank ya".
Hey! I think I'm most competitive on the KTM 450. The 125 is fun because you can throw it around easy. The 450s are fun because they scare me a bit. If I had to choose just one, it would be the KTM 450.
I hung up my hat 14 years ago, but if there is anything I remember from racing one two fives, especially when the 4 strokes started making better/more power is those inside lines were a bitch to hold speed unless you could just run balls to the wall all the way thru them. Clutch would be so tight after a moto it would take Mike Tyson himself to pull it in. Fun to watch... makes me want to race again.

Is it me or am I hearing 4 stroke shifting patterns? I keep feeling like a shift up on straights will gain. I hear the same gear held like riding a 4 stroke.
