This brings me back to a few years ago when the ASMRnerd did the Skyrim maps. That is still one of my favorite videos. This can be added to that as well 😊
I am loving this series Kate. My mum was a school teacher and made an overhead projector "film" of The Hobbit drawn and voiced by her primary 5 class in the early 80's. The same year, Jackanory did the Hobbit to celebrate their 25th year and my mum wrote to them at the BBC. She was sent the beautifully drawn replica Tolkien map that they used on the programme with the moon runes calligraphed in white ink on a separate black mount board that they superimposed onto it.
Relaxing video as always! However, for any Tolkien fans out there, I'd urge to take David Day or any of his books with a grain of salt. His map showing the continents of Middle-earth in the 1st age has been jokingly referred to as the "Lungs" among the Tolkien community. He has also published made up/false information in order to make his work seem unique. /end rant!
Yeah I completely agree. The David Day books are fine, but as you say, a lot of it seems to be re-imagined by the author (i.e. made up!). So you need to know that if you buy the books.
