Essenroute - Twents blokje om

Video of the Essenroute, a route part of the local trail system 'Twentsblokjeom.nl'. The route takes you along the Essen, bulging pastures as a results of decades of fertilization. In earlier times, this was done with sod, raising the pastures centimetres each year and over time resulting in a slightly hilly landscape that is so characteristic for the Twente region in the Netherlands.
