This is the only channel that I’ve seen take bowfin fishing seriously and I love it! It’s absurd that people think these are trash fish. They’ve been around WAY longer than the other species of fish (except gar) and they fight like hell. Love these videos and love this channel- shocking to me that you don’t have 10X the subs that you do. You’ll get there!!

I like watching Lee and his wife fish more. Sorry Robbie. It's just like when you go to Canada and catch a 40" pike. No surprise there.
If Robbie was chasing 48" pike where he lives instead of Muskie, now you have my attention. These bowfin are a blast to target, and you need some tenacity to weather the conditions they thrive in.

I grew up in Lake Jackson Texas and behind our house Bowfin / Grinnel were everywhere in Shy Pond. We used to catch them all the time when i was kid. They hit any and everything... Shy Pond was the best freshwater fishing around.

I haven't caught a bow fin since i was a kid i found a creek flowing into a main river this spring and caught 7 in 2 weeks and my son got one over 10 pounds

Live bluegill for bait works good they are good to eat also but got to keep them live an clean them live

I use live bluegills and shark floats, I cut the fins off the bluegills so they can't actually swim and wobble.
