Interesting no one commented on the pole itself and how it's used. They commented on how they don't like FFS. LOL! Let's stick to the topic of the pole. I like what he's using but I land quite a few fish sitting down in the drivers seat. If you aren't able to take it out easily then it might be a hinderance? But I do like the idea. Still it's one more thing to buy for the boat to possibly help make a well informed decision on where and what to throw. If you're a guide you want to use everything you can to help put your clients on fish
I'd prefer my live transducer to be mounted on a pole at the console and be controlled from the front of the boat. That way, it can be used for scanning while at the console.
I would think the pole would get in the way for landing fish at the console? I have a Target Lock and can control the target lock from the console on my helix units. I can also steer the Ultrex from my console which works real good when I use it in conjunction with the live and Target Lock if I don't want to start up the big motor @@MoneyBass
@@kenknutson4684 I have Targetlock, Ultrex and remotes that can control them from the console. I would prefer to not have to deploy the trolling motor each time to scan using ffs. Coming off plane, scanning then leaving to scan the next location without deploying the trolling motor would save a lot of time for me.
Livescope is amazing and I love using it, watching pros use it, learning from the screen on screen tech, and learning more than ever about fish behavior and biology. So much information coming to us so fast…..what a time to be alive! F the noise, haters gonna hate
@bigwaterbassin4961 that's a rude ass comment. He has his opinion just like you clearly have yours.... if you can't see his point in it you are just ignorant.
I am for FFS, but I will probably never buy it for myself. Even though I fish more than most, I can't justify the expense. It would be super useful for ice fishing, but I don't know how much longer my body is going to allow me to do that; I've got back and leg issues. Bass fishing, I fish primetime for topwater bites, usually in heavy-cover fishing frogs. Not much use for FFS for the way I choose to fish.
Forward sonar is a game changer for my tournaments Im up lbs every tournament by using forward facing. Love it never go back , I have other sonars for side and down but forward facing on my 16" is the cats a$$ !
Watching someone stare at a screen like they are playing a video game is not fishing. Watching it on TV it looks like these guys are staring at their feet. While live scope does not tell you the fish species (it will at some point, that is just a matter of time), as a fisherman, when you know a fish is in a spot, it is infinitely more easy to catch those fish, than ones you have no idea if they are, and it is certainly changing fish habits and reactions by targeting those fish.
Thanks bud for relaying exactly what the rest of anticscopers say word for word. Everyone here is now smarter hearing this fresh take on it. Don’t worry about how illogical it is. If it feels good, do it. 👍
@@muthafukajones1513 Such an enlightening and strong defense of using live scope. Most of the clowns using this couldn't catch a fish if their life depended on it without it. Chasing fish around with the equivalent of a camera is not fishing, sorry that offends you, but that is fact.

It has takin all the chances of a young kid with 5k boat in couple grand in electronics to be able in compete in local level.. its ruined local level tourney fishing. To have 360 in live scope fish a tree with 3 hogs till they bite . I don't really understand why we think we need it . Tournament fishing was fun to watch before . Why do we have to keep changing it. Like baseball in a wood bat. They have metal bats in illegal metal bats . So I mean at what point is the essence of bassfishing takin from. I think we have hit that level of to much!
I was watching the 2015 Bassmaster Classic on TH-cam. It was so refreshing to watch guys actually fishing just in 2015 they were using traditional sonar and they called a video game fishing then boy have things changed. It’s ridiculous how much crap these guys are putting on their boat.
Its fun to watch fish eat a jigging spoon, watching them swim up to, look at and eat dropshots etc etc. Its fun BUT I think it should be stopped at the club level and should be limited at the tour level. Its not great for the sport... my electronics package cost what a 18 foot tracker with a 90 cost 10 years ago. There are a great many people out there that just cant afford and they are getting pushed out the bigger clubs because they just arent competitive, its not even fair. The issue i see with the trails is tech only advances and next will be 3d HD sonar systems that are showing detail that its like having a digital detailed image of whats under the water.. i mean hell its good enough now that you can about do that once you have spent the time learning it. Pretty soon our tourney rigged boats will be like an F35 fighter and you will just be able to look around the boat with a head tracker and the transducers will just lock to where your looking and you will just be able to target individual fish knowing their size before you even make the cast. Like being able to sight fish in 50 feet of water in a 100 foot radius around the boat. In 10 years we will absolutely have systems that are advanaced to that level. If the trails dont start to limit tech it will just become a joke. Now with that said, i love my ffs, i love my electronic package and will absolutely upgrade as soon as the next gen is available just as i always do. Now days im watching my graphs 95% of the time im on the deck. We have a couple 60 to 100 boat clubs around here that do weekend events and literally 30-40% of our members have drop out the clubs just for the fact that they arent competitive without the electronic packages and cant afford to invest in it. If they wanted to ban it then i would happily go along with it just to keep out club members from leaving....
Ffs aint never caught a fish. My hook set did. So was it because i had a better hook than the next person or was my rod longer ,the reason i caught a better fish 😊.Nah i just get a 360 .
