This is a hundred years before Anakin, so Yoda is around at the temple, we could see him and unfortunately he’s not that young at this point but he’s very agile. I would love to see a young Yoda someday and for him to be a rebel punk, not the Jedi master we know. This makes it really hard to understand why the Jedi didn’t see the Sith coming, did all of the Jedi who faced the red saber user end up getting assassinated and not sharing the information, was the info erased from the archives, did Yoda cover it up, did Yoda know someone was killing Jedi? What I really want to know is the island we see the same island Luke exiled himself to, that would be super connective and a kick to see. The green Jedi woman in the trailer is from the books, I haven’t read any but I’ve seen videos with people who have, that recognized her instantly, so we will be dipping into the non canon parts of the lore. I can not wait for this, June seems like forever away.
I would love to see young Yoda too. I wouldn’t assume anything shown is quite so prominent from a teaser, it might be a fake out. While the Sith haven’t been seen in a Millennia, the dark side is still known to exist. And like Jodie’s character says, “this isn’t about good or bad, this is about power and who’s allowed to use it.” I’m expecting whomever to be wielding that red blade to be seen as a good person, hiding amongst the Jedi themselves. The Jedi who know might well have been killed. I’m braced for a lot of death, I’d be shocked if this ends well. I thought the newer High Republic books were canon? I’m also wondering, will we see events that lead to Master Syfo-Dias’s actions? Or is it too early? I’m not perfect on timelines.
@Manx36, It would be good to see a young Yoda, which leads me to have some of the same questions about how the Jedi didn't see this coming in TPM (where the Jedi say the Sith haven't been seen/around in a millenia). This approx. 100 years timeline before TPM seems like if the red light saber holder is a Sith, it may be Darth Plagueis the Wise (it seems to be too late for Darth Tenebrous and too early for Darth Sidious/Palpatine). In the trailer, when the eight Jedi are standing looking into the forest, it looks like the Jedi at the bottom right is Plo Koon, so theoretically, Yoda and Plo Koon should be aware of the Sith in TPM. And to your point, were the Jedi archives erased? I haven't read the books either, I've seen people indicate the green Jedi woman as Venestra Rwoh, one of the youngest Jedi ever (I think, at 15 years old). I am looking forward to watching this series!

An acolyte is someone who is a follower of something or someone. So, this person could be just a follower of the Dark Side but not specifically the Sith. So therefore, technically, the Sith haven’t been seen in over a millennia but dark side acolytes have still existed.
It takes place only 100 years before the Phantom Menace. Which means that a very young Palpatine, if he used the Force to prolong his life, could have been around. More than likely though, the villain is Darth Plaquous.
Hello, Lads. Good reaction, as always. It is an interesting, intriguing trailer. Hopefully the story is actually good, and not canon-desecrating. Just so you know: The High Republic Era, so far, takes place 500 to 100 years before the events of The Phantom Menace. The books, comics, and Animated series (Young Jedi Adventures) take place between 200 and 350 years before Episode I. So far, only 1 original character from the publishing side of The High Republic Multimedia Initiative is making the transition to live-action in this show...the green, bald alien you saw Force-pushing the doors of The Jedi Temple open...Vernestra Rwoh. Ironically, though I've read 70% of all of the publishing materials of THR, I didn't read about her. She appears in the middle-grade novels, and I was turned off by the fact that, at age 15, she was bestowed with Jedi Knight status...NO WAY would George Lucas ever allow that to happen to a SW character. If Anakin Skywalker, The Chosen One, couldn't attain Jedi Knighthood until just after age 20...no one else should. From what I've heard, she's a Jedi Prodigy, which is why she was given the title. Still doesn't wash for me. The group of people you see, dressed in dark raiment, led by the woman who made the statement about "power", are supposedly a Witches coven...what kind of dark magic they practice, is unknown at this point. There's demonology in the books, but, not this kind. Let's do like Hera Syndulla, and hope for the best, and prepare for the worst. This is Disney Star Wars, after all...
