Penang Trip 2022 - Bukit Bendera, Penang Hill

- After a visit to Entopia, Penang's ButterflyFarm Park, with just 3 hours before Daddy finishes work, we decided to go up Penang Hill a.k.a Bukit Bendera. Research shown that the peak hours for going up to Penang Hill are early morning and early evening. These are the time people would go up for a jog and hike under cooling condition.
The queues can be crazy and it's advisable to get the fast lane ticket during the peak hours. As we saw less crowd, we proceeded to buy normal lane tickets. It's the same price for senior citizen above age 60 for fast lane or normal lane. So, be sure to get fast lane for senior ticket.
Fast Lane: Kid RM20, Adult RM40, Senior RM6
Normal Lane: Kid RM6. Adult RM12, Senior RM6

Managed to get the front train to go up. View was spectacular. There were some stops along the way for people who wants to stay at the midway. Once we reached the top, we rented a buggy to take us around. The buggy driver was really informative. It was breezy and cooling. Some people would stop at the Monkey Cup Café, where they can enjoy some Forest Coffee and views of different Nepenthes, pitcher plants. The café provides free 4x4 ride back to the train station. There were a lot of people there, so, we decided to stop by at the Habitat café.
The Habitat is a forest that is 130 million years old . You can camp and learn all about the forest.
Entrance ticket Price: Adult RM60, Kid RM40, Family 2A2K RM160
The café serves good curry puffs, Oreo cake and hot chocolate. The ambience is great with sounds of nature and is not too hot.
After eating, we walked back to the station. Spotted a black giant squirrel. We managed to get the front train seat again as we were the first to arrive at the waiting area. Overall, it was a nice visit and a great getaway from Malaysia's heat. There were definitely a lot more to cover. It would be good to have 1 day at the Habitat and half a day at Penang Hill.

咖啡厅供应美味的咖喱泡芙、奥利奥蛋糕和热巧克力。环境很好，有自然的声音，不太热。
吃完了，我们就回车站了。发现了一只黑色的巨松鼠。由于我们是第一个到达等候区的人，我们设法再次获得了前排火车座位。总的来说，这是一次愉快的访问，也是远离马来西亚炎热的好去处。肯定还有很多要讲的。最好在 Habitat 呆 1 天，在 Penang Hill 呆半天。

Tak payah la datang sini, servis train sangat teruk, bawak naik ramai orang tapi train sangat kurang, korang akan beratur panjang berdiri bawah hujan / panas berjam2 just nak tunggu train utk balik kebawah lepas tu packed macam tin sardin. Tempat paling teruk pernah aku datang melawat.
Mmg nampak line blh jadi panjang Giler.. I think best blh avoid peak hours atau school/public holiday. Boleh tahu Tuan/Puan pergi bila?

Hi, thank you for dropping in.. Entrance to Penang Hill is free, we need to pay for the train though.. We took the normal lane ticket as it was quite empty that day (weekday).

As for the buggy service, it was Rm30 per buggy (about 4 person). Well spent when you have kids and elderly, Otherwise, it's a nice walk if you have time. Most people would stop at Monkey Cup Café. Customers get free ride back from Monkey Cup Café. We stop at Habitat Café that day for tea time, I don't quite remember the price of each item. I think about RM20-30, you can get a drink and a snack. If you would like to visit Habitat itself, there is an entrance charge. Be sure to go early though if you wanna visit The Habitat.

We walked from The Habitat back to the station after tea. We get to see varieties of flowers and the rare Black Squirrel. Total spent for 2A1K1S: RM66 for train ticket and buggy, not including food.

U Blh beritahu dia pergi Sampai mana.. turun ambil gambar atau bersiar2..no prob.. tapi kalau minum makan, then dia Akan balik, considered habis trip itu.. kalau turun kat monkey cafe, monkey cafe blh send balik Ke base utk customernya…
Hello, may i know how much buggy car ride?
Hello.. the buggy ride was rm30 per ride.. can fit about 4-5person.. you can request to stop to take pictures for a while.. if you do wanna stop to explore certain area, you might need to walk back on your own… however, the monkey cafe or the habitat do provide transportation for their customers to go back to the station area. Hope this helps.. :)
what time did you go to the habitat?
We went to the habitat cafe around 3.15pm, I think.. as for the habitat itself, I think u would need 4 hours minimum time there.. as there are so many things to do like flying fox and exploring the flora & fauna as well as the hanging bridge and yes, the Curtis Crest Tree Top walk.... I’m hoping to plan a camping trip there if possible.
Adakah ramai orang pada hari minggu ?
Crowd pada hari minggu mmg tak sebanyak hujung minggu. Tetapi, jika ingin mengelakkan orang ramai, masa terbaik untuk melawat ialah awal pagi (sebelum 9.30 pagi), selepas makan tengah hari atau selepas pukul 5 petang.
Sy brcadang nk pergi pagi sblm pkl8, agak2 nanti kalau nk turun around 2hours after baratur panjang tak kalau nk nk tggu train.
