Living with BMW R1200RT wc 2014 9000miles

A quick walk around my 2014 RT. I touch on the highs and lows ofbownership. At this point I had covered about 9000 miles. I ended up covering over 26000 miles on 2 years. I love the RT but I had many many isdues with paint build quality on engine and transmission. In the end BMW put a brand new engine , gearbox and final drive unit on it.
I bought this one through Bahnstormer in Maidenhead and have since had another RT (Carbon black le) and now have moved to a GSA triple black for a change as my annual milage is a 10th of what it used to be.
Bahnstormer and BMW have both been outstanding in the way they dealt with the warranty issues on both my RTs ( yup the 2016 had the same issues) and is the sole reason I am still riding BMWs. The RT is, in my opinion, the best real world motorbike I have ever owned and if my mileage ever increases beyond 10k per year the GSA would be swapped back in for a new RT.
