I love the idea of a park like this, something that kids and new skaters can learn on and still have a ton of fun at the same time. Nothing super intimidating, tons of different size quarter pipes and shit, what a great park

Dan's channel has characters for sure, one of my favorite's is Matthew. I remember the first time he was on and Dan referred to Matt as the new guy because he had just got on Powell and he was flying around everywhere Dan was getting really hype, and every sense then and it's been that way every session the skate together.

SO TRUE!! Lol I'm 31 & started skating again. I really did used to be SO good but now I can hardly ride/ balance on the damn thing. Lmao I bought a new nice board too, gotta practice a lot!
@@tashacanney2362 Yeah, it didnt come to me as easy this time around. Its been a hard couple months just to get the basics and feel comfortable on the board again. I also find that if I don't go out for a full week, it takes me hours to get back to where I was the week before so i try to get out at least 3 times a week but work makes it kinda hard.

as a new skater whos above 30, this park looks amazing. i dont get up from slams like i used to 15 years ago and 80lbs lighter. im already noticably losing weight and getting a little better but the parks around me are pretty hardcore so honestly alot of stuff is too scary to try. i cant aford to bust myself up too bad.
Keep at it. I love to go skate around my city and look for cool spots to skate at.

I've always had 5.0 on rails. Just a go-to confident trick of mine. Been skating for some 28 years, it was a trick I learned late on around 5 years in when I was a semi-good skater. I just had them, and never really fall, I can't remember the last time I did in fact.
Maybe it's because I have the same confidence on flat ground Ollie as rail 5.0?
It's got to be not fear of falling or knowing the trick so we because the back side 180 onto a rail and I'm nervous as. Even thou I pinpoint my front truck very well and steer my back once locked in.
Just shows how much confidence plays into a trick and consistency.
Just a thought.
I need a park like this so bad I was never able to learn any grinds because the only stuff available is huge af or super sketchy

I Love how much smack talk there is in-between each trick. Its just a part of skating that has to be. I love it, and makes me miss the good old days of skating every day with my mates in South Carolina. Now back living in New Zealand, home country and have a mate from The USA that moved here about 10 years ago. one of my old skate buddies. We skate very now and again but nothing like it use to be. Still smack talk in-between every trick or attempted trick I should say. Cheers for the vids

Just learned a few tricks this weekend! Blunt stall, 5-0 and slappy grinds! Inspired by you and the Powell team!! Never thought I would be learning new tricks as I am approaching 40, turn 39 in less than 2 months. Can’t teach an old dog new tricks. But an old man can learn new skate tricks!

Wheels Only, at the Woodward near me is $25 for the day. You can skate all day, leave for lunch and come back. $25 might seem pricey but I think it's worth every once in awhile.

You are cramping because it rained and you are getting old. That little indoor street park looks like a dream though. Perfect for learning prettymuch anything you could want. It literally has it all. Euro, ledges, rails, different size drop ins, little pyramid.
Pickle juice and lots of room temperature water for cramps my doods.

Ow it does rain where you live. I never understood how you could post daily videos. In Belgium the weather has been terrible this summer 2 weeks rain now and still no sunshine in sight.

I’m 42, that looks perfect size to me😅
I landed credit card 2x and injured my kneecap that hasn-t healed in 7 months trying to land treflips. I once landed then fell and hit the back of my head. I did a fakie fs bigspin in the dark and hit my kneecap again, I couldn't bend it for 3 days. I keep hitting that same one spot.
No need for an obstacle to f**k myself up.
