Former skydiver and jumped at Empuria out of a Porter. Smallest thing I got out of was a 206 with no door over Scotland. Pretty cold with especially during the winter!
@@flightdeck2sim for sure. 182s were more common for smaller drop zones. they would be sitting on the cabin floor in reality until jump run. My first ever flight and jump was out of that 206 as well. Pilot let me handle the yoke a little.
Regarding the takeoff with the 172 for the delivery mission: in real life this airstrip is one way in and out. You land up the hill and take off downhill towards the Moselle valley. You took off uphill which is pretty much impossible in real life 😃
Bought it, but can't fly myself because of bad internet connection here on an island in the north Norwegian sea.... but at least I'll watch your stream and use imagination :) Thank you, Microsoft, for deciding to make it all cloud based!
I got my commercial license last night then came a cropper 💥 on a short grassy runway the first mission making money 😂 Watch that one you really got to come in very slow and use all the runway because ain’t much of it to stop on apparently 😂
Killer video! I had this going in the background at work for about 4 hours today watched the whole thing. I’m getting a PC on black Friday is there a cheat sheet you have for setting up standard controls like how you had to change them all in the beginning? Also what Yoke and Throttle would you suggest maybe an early XMas gift.
@@AOKadventure Glad you enjoyed it! There really isn’t a cheat sheet, I deleted most of the default keyboard bindings as they had changed so many. Check out my YT community page for a link to a guide on how to setup the camera views. If you’re just starting out I’d recommend the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, great entry level joystick 👍🏻
@ btw no criticism but I’m not sure why you think 2020 is for serious simmers and 2024 is for gamers. Remember 2024 still has free flight and you can do everything you can do in 2020! Of course some growing pains at first with bugs and 3p devs like PMDG probably needing to take a bit of time to update planes to work perfectly on 2024 but I’m sure in a few months there will be little reason to continue with 2020 unless you have bad internet etc. Also I’m pretty sure I heard msft/asobo say that 3P devs will be able to make their planes compatible with mission systems. So for example PMDG could make the 747 work for heavy airliner missions. Anyways I’m still watching. You’re about to start high performance endorsement. Really fun video.
I've asked for a refund but doubt I will get it with 12hrs of play. Took for ever just to get it loaded and then all the time inside the sim just to get it running on my machine. I hope steam will take sympathy with that fact. For $200, it just has too many problems. Update: I did receive my refund even with 12hrs total time.
Sorry you’ve been having issues, I had some more on launch day but I think the shear number of people using the sim at the moment is impacting the experience. I think I’ve been quite lucky! FD2S

@@AnvilAirsoftTV that’s awesome! I think a 172 would be a pretty tight squeeze, my knees hurt just watching haha!

Burning Blue Designs have a really nice looking EGCL Fenland scenery which is apparently fully compatible with FS2024.
Lucky you - I get to main menu and it crashes - 3 days now
