My great aunt lived down the road from my parents house in Florida and she had one of those walnut trays at her house. It always sort of fascinated me because walnuts to me seemed very un Floridaian. Of course she was born in Kentucky a lived there many years. My great aunt also had a fascinating amount of memorabilia from her time working at a B-24 assembly plant during WWII.
You’re absolutely right. Actually, I have ashtrays in most of my videos 😂 (PO, pharmacy, travel agent, motel, airline counter). I used to have one on the kitchen table for videos that take place there, but I eventually changed things up on the table.

I remember carrying mine in the late 70s and 80s, before someone put two and two together and realized it wasn’t a good idea to use SSN as a form of ID. I also remember when your SSN was on your driver’s license. If you wrote a check, the clerk would write your SSN on your check. 😂
