Sir, I have doubt in this, 1.My friend had been working all day so he was tired. Here Was used in before tired, is it be verb. 2. I had been waiting for hour to meet the collector. As per past perfect continues rule one sentence has completed other one is on going but he hasn't meet collector so that work is pending. Pls suggest.
