Crazy how sonic was literally training for an overseas tournament worth 150k winning prize for mk11 but pulled up and went 10 rounds with a dude that ONLY grinds this one game competitively.
When I first saw nitro I thought "ah yeah another ui" but damn was I wrong and damn is he a fucking god. His neutral is incredible and he deserves the win.Those last matches when he started clicking were insane. It's good to see another player challenge sonic I can't wait to see how the lore develops lmao
Legendary.. I remember when nitro was losing so many games because of dropping combos and questionable decisions.. but he perfected it all. Now he's proven that he's the nations east coast best time and time again. Sonic, still an amazing player, imo looking better than ever (albeit a few key drops, guess that's the rust). HOC ringing bells in the fgc. Can't wait to see more!

Seeing Nitro's playstyle I don't think he will be affected much by the UI nerf. He doesn't use Unrestrained Will that much. He doesn't spam 2h that much. He doesn't use the A assist and doesn't use DP ability much either. He does use the flippuch though, that damage is getting nerfed.
Normally I hate watching kid buu and UI goku because they are everywhere, but I LOVE watching nitro. nitro is cut from a different cloth. The way he plays sets him apart. I don’t think UI goku carries him. I think they just finally released a character that fits his playstyle the most

Plus he plays like 5 fighting games. I'm not saying that Nitro didnt deserve it, but Sonic is hella versatile being able to be a top player in multiple fighting games simultaneously, I still think he's an overall better player
