EA do not care about offline gameplay at all. Career mode is always terrible, no staredowns press conferences, no UFC experience at all. They need to completely revamp career and do it like fight night, a story mode with a character like andre bishop
Now the animantions on Submissions are the same, in other games you can do RNC from back flat, from back mount... Or arm bar from crucifix or back mount, and another Submissions ( north south chouck, anaconda, americana, bulldog choke, Twister, peruvian neck tie etc) or the kimura in side control, the animation was diffetent from a kimura from half guard.
Alot of companies do this but EA are specialists at cutting stuff out and adding it back down the line as something "new" if you play EA FC 24 they cut out the whole player walk out entrances for football... They said they done it beacuse they thought ppl just want to get straight into the game.

The only explanation for removing features like this is trying to optimize the game file size, but then its like why don't they just make a game worth downloading that has all the features? it's not like the UFC games are that big of downloads anyway
I’ve been telling this since I played fifa 13, so it’s been 12 years now. They never want to make an all round perfect game, because it’s very hard to beat. If they couldn’t top it with the next game people would stop buying the new one and go back the the previous one which was perfect in every aspect. So they bring in new features that never existed before but also take out stuff that won’t make the game unplayable, that won’t stop people buying the game but what’d make them feel “yeah it’s better than the previous one but some things are missing”. So when they publish the next game they can bring in the completly new stuff and also bring back the part that was taken out in the previus so people can feel a relief that the game got better and they brought back something they missed. Hovewer they also remove a previusly liked thing and the cycle goes and goes on. I hate this sales model but it works unfortunately…
You can either have a game that comes out in every 1-2-3 years which is never going to be a 10/10 (like fifa or UFC), or one that takes at least 5 years to make and lifts the series to a competly different level (like GTA).

I see EA has started giving their UFC games the Madden treatment. Start stripping the game of features, particularly the single-player ones, only work on the monetized online modes, and then make a big deal when they add back features the games 5-10 years ago had

I agree completely on the entrance details, i wanna add that they remove legit colors from alternative shorts of fighters when they dont wear home Nationals, in UFC 5 was originally , surname on black shorts or White shorts had colors like Red , Blue , green surname of fighters.depends on the nationality of the fighter, now everyone Is Just black or white surnames, and in tournaments u cant pick short colors too. Usually Is Blue vs Blue or Red vs Red 😂😂😂 its details. PS: i really think the game looks better, UFC 4 was lifeless in graphics in the gameplay and character models, only intro in ufc 4 were more graphically acceptable

I’ve said this from day one of release of the game!! Typical laziness from EA They’ve cut out all the necessary info from the fighters including fight record, their style, where they’re from etc. Also don’t understand why they cut out the face off. It just makes everything look more realistic having this a part of the game..Another thing that shouldn’t bother me but it does, there is literally ONE referee in this game. It’s just so lazy from EA. They have took time to add in things like Hasbulla walking out with Islam & Khabib but removed more necessary things that we’d like to see. Just don’t understand what they were thinking when they done this.
This is exactly why I just play UFC 2 career modes or undisputed 3 it's a glorified K1 game now basically just Tekken with a UFC logo. Remember they've given us the same career intro for a decade now.
Cutting the scene of the ref checking the fighters isn’t remotely a big deal in my opinion, but cutting fighter introduction is horrible, not because we get a lack of information but it ruins immersion
I AGREE. They need to bring back Francis Ngannou, Brock Lesnar and many MANY other fighters in every weight class. They worked on the graphics, movement and moves etc etc etc but they took a lot out like you said. Everytime I see a patch update it’s nothing major or big. Where is Brock Lesnar ? Imagine a developer giving you an entire options menu for literally only presentation of the fight. Face offs, walkouts, 3-5 rounds, champ/interim bout, where the fight is, the camera, your referee, and your announcer (Bruce or Martinez)

In ufc Undisputed 1 with Forest Griffin on the cover. On the ground you could do knees from backside. From sidecontrol you could throw elbows to the body............ I thought it was dope but it's gone.
EA probably look at the probability of how many people watch the walk out scene in entirety and decide that not enough of the player base was watching it to save money it’s all statistics
Rockstar does this as well. Many times these developers do this because they add the cut content to a subscription service that you have to be a part of in order to get it. Not necessarily in this case but that happens often it seems.
I remember noticing how bruce skipped to announcing the fighters names after stating which corner they are in, and it just killed the vibe. If I wanted to buy a UFC game, I would honestly rather get UFC 4 just for that.

BRO this is how I feel about career mode! They took away ALLLLLL the post fight celebrations for created fighters which makes NO SENSE. Those celebrations added an element to winning a fight which was really fun and they just completely took them away.
It’s a shame EA did this. if anything the face to face’s should’ve been upgraded not taken away. We should’ve got the options of taping gloves or walking to the corner.
My fav part of UFC introductions is the tale of the tape shows the height, weight etc. then when the ref is there it shows the stats of said fighter & now it’s ready up, a white screen, then fight just seems so lazy

Undisputed 3 with 2011 graphics is still pretty sweet I literally re bought a 360 recently just to play it again and forgot how fun MMA games used to be UFC 3 was the last good EA effort

I deleted this game and I won’t be redownloading it. With the most recent update it told me everything I need to know and I’m happy that EA finally solidified my decision to move forward from this game. I miss the days sports game had competitors. They’ve grown comfortable doing the bare minimum.
This is what NBA 2k does. One of the major selling points of 2k25 is that it's bringing back parks from 2k15. They do this because it'll guarantee hype.
I’m a offline player with 500+ hours with my own ufc rankings and fight cards and yes it’s infuriating. I like the edition of heaps of fighters for more dynamic fight cards but everytime these cutscenes play it is really annoying and a giant let down of what could have been.
Honestly really agree with the cutscene, I'm such a lover for hype buildup and seeing the walkouts of fighters, and the pre fight rituals too, I think bring so much character and really puts a soul in the NPC fighter that you choose to control. Things like cutting out the checkup from herb and even the option to emote pre round 1 bell, I always loved that part of UFC 4 the most, even if it was such a small thing.
As someone who has been a fan of the EA Sports Fifa games for years, one thing that they ALWAYS do is remove features that were in the game, then years later add them back and act like they are a brand new feature. There are so many features in those games that have basically been deteriorated over time from them just arbitrarily removing stuff that people like.

You will not find it the online version of the game, you find it in the career mode/ campaign mode of the game. I AM A CAMPAIGN/ CAREER MODE PLAYER, AND I WANT ALL OF THE POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE, AND DETAIL ASSOCIATED WITH THE REAL LIFE VERSION OF THIS SPORT. THEN IT WILL BE “AS REAL AS IT GETS”!
I’m not sure if I am the only one but I enjoy to play offline event mode so I noticed this on the day the game dropped and I was extremely annoyed because I pay attention to detail. Thank you for bringing awareness Martial 🙏

Event Mode was completely ruined by EA since UFC 4, now even you have the “show intros” option enabled, it only happens for the first fight on your card. Every other fight doesnt even have an intro and just goes straight to the fight. Whats the point of the mode then
Even the final face off/ fist bump is not good in ufc 1-4... Fighters are usually not that aggresive, bouncing around /, usually its much more cordial and calm yes the odd time they are bouncing but not usually. Id rather a casual glove touch with maybe some variations
UFC 5 I like the tunnel view and walk out but no ref inspection??? Why? No height no weight no info in the intro no final face off? Only a non fan would not realize this important. We haven’t had decent realistic ground and pound and clinch fighting in this game since EA UFC 3.
I would love to hear my whole name announced. It just kills the hype of the build up. It just falls flat with just your last name. I know it can be done. I've heard it on other sports games.
This always sucks, but at the end of the day I’d rather gameplay updates than stuff like this… technical submissions, more animations, more combinations, and more positions would mean much more to me. Why can’t I put Machida to sleep in a standing guillotine? Why can’t i put Geoff Neal to sleep in a standing RNC?
I miss the old undisputed challenges where it was different fights that were popular and you had to complete certain actions to finish that fight. I enjoyed the challenges and the historic fights.

Thank you martial for this video, there isn't a whole lot of presentation they need outside of the fights, the walkouts are cool but they could dedicate 2-4 minutes before each online match for walkouts and intros and make them skippable by yourself if you don't wanna watch yourself they did it for fight night, they could do it for us, I had like 3 or 4 pages of things they need to do or change
I mean, hell they always do this. They done this to game face also, one of the best features their games ever had. Before ufc 4 came out, it said on the website when they took down game face, that it'd be back better than ever. It was never back, that was legit when ufc 4 was rumoured to be coming out..
Please tell EA to bring back the black and white alternate national fight kits. It's super annoying that they removed them, I believe they removed them in the January update.
Hate how they removed custom caf stats and moves “It’s because that makes them op in online fights!” well why can’t ea just allow custom stat cafs in offline mode, how hard? UFC 3 i find it fun to make custom players with custom stats and moves against ai compared to UFC 5 that forces you an ass archetype and moves or forces you to grind career mode for a half decent fighter
One word …shareholders. They do the same stuff with Madden. They took out the refs and blamed it on memory, but then added it back in a few years later as a new feature. EA is horrible, that’s why the lost the FIFA license, and probably will lose football soon. If another company made a good hockey or UFC game, I’d bet they’d lose those too.

In ufc Undisputed 1 with Forest Griffin on the cover. On the ground you could do knees from backside. From sidecontrol you could throw elbows to the body............ I thought it was dope but it's gone.
Even Bruce Buffer's voice over on his intro doesn't hit as hard as UFC 4
If they cut parts of the intro because people skip them, then why bother adding new scenes to it?
EA probably look at the probability of how many people watch the walk out scene in entirety and decide that not enough of the player base was watching it to save money it’s all statistics
Rockstar does this as well. Many times these developers do this because they add the cut content to a subscription service that you have to be a part of in order to get it. Not necessarily in this case but that happens often it seems.
I remember noticing how bruce skipped to announcing the fighters names after stating which corner they are in, and it just killed the vibe. If I wanted to buy a UFC game, I would honestly rather get UFC 4 just for that.
the problem is still on the people. if UFC 6 came out next month, everyone saying they hate UFC 5 will still pay 60$ for the new one. i stopped buying NBA 2K, Madden, and stick with UFC 4 until they get things right. if more people stopped buying, there would be change

The part where they show the fighter in the back before they start their walkout should only be a career mode thing
BRO this is how I feel about career mode! They took away ALLLLLL the post fight celebrations for created fighters which makes NO SENSE. Those celebrations added an element to winning a fight which was really fun and they just completely took them away.
It’s a shame EA did this. if anything the face to face’s should’ve been upgraded not taken away. We should’ve got the options of taping gloves or walking to the corner.

My fav part of UFC introductions is the tale of the tape shows the height, weight etc. then when the ref is there it shows the stats of said fighter & now it’s ready up, a white screen, then fight

Undisputed 3 with 2011 graphics is still pretty sweet I literally re bought a 360 recently just to play it again and forgot how fun MMA games used to be UFC 3 was the last good EA effort

Madden 93 had line stunts and a halftime show that showed highlights from around the league.

Thats the thing, the people who skip it at least had the option to skip it. We dont even get the option to watch it. Im an online player and I do not skip the intros 🤷
I deleted this game and I won’t be redownloading it. With the most recent update it told me everything I need to know and I’m happy that EA finally solidified my decision to move forward from this game. I miss the days sports game had competitors. They’ve grown comfortable doing the bare minimum.
This is what NBA 2k does. One of the major selling points of 2k25 is that it's bringing back parks from 2k15.

I’m a offline player with 500+ hours with my own ufc rankings and fight cards and yes it’s infuriating. I like the edition of heaps of fighters for more dynamic fight cards but everytime these cutscenes play it is really annoying and a giant let down of what could have been.
Honestly really agree with the cutscene, I'm such a lover for hype buildup and seeing the walkouts of fighters, and the pre fight rituals too, I think bring so much character and really puts a soul in the NPC fighter that you choose to control. Things like cutting out the checkup from herb and even the option to emote pre round 1 bell, I always loved that part of UFC 4 the most, even if it was such a small thing.
Ufc 4 also had arms break and people would go to sleep in submissions,but now khabib will tap in 5😭
Another thing, is the fact that they removed god knows how many submissions, it dont feel unique anymore.
I know this isn’t something they had and took away but there should be a sitting guard up against the cage mechanic.
They gotta fix the cut system btw because when you cut someone and just back up far enough distance it’ll trigger the ref to step in no matter what

As someone who has been a fan of the EA Sports Fifa games for years, one thing that they ALWAYS do is remove features that were in the game, then years later add them back and act like they are a brand new feature. There are so many features in those games that have basically been deteriorated over time from them just arbitrarily removing stuff that people like.
I’ve been saying this since the beginning of 5 . They cutting everything short just to jump into the fight . I wish quick fight had the fighter call out online quick fight like 3
Also they had saitama arena as a venue in UFC 3 and then got rid of it in 4 & 5 for no apparent reason
You can't stop it altogether as it is part of the process but they can definitely lessen it. And I think they should.
During the beta for 5 I thought bruce not saying all of the fighter info was a either a glitch or just something for the beta
Another thing is UFC 5 doesn't have multiple referees like UFC 4 and the others.
This post emphasizes what I’ve been saying for years about any game. If you really want to know how much work a development team has put into their project. You will not find it the online version of the game, you find it in the career mode/ campaign mode of the game. I AM A CAMPAIGN/ CAREER MODE PLAYER, AND I WANT ALL OF THE POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE, AND DETAIL ASSOCIATED WITH THE REAL LIFE VERSION OF THIS SPORT. THEN IT WILL BE “AS REAL AS IT GETS”!
I’m not sure if I am the only one but I enjoy to play offline event mode so I noticed this on the day the game dropped and I was extremely annoyed because I pay attention to detail. Thank you for bringing awareness Martial 🙏

I'll explain why many developers make these changes, primarily for two reasons:
1. **Player Attention Span**: Developers often believe that players don't have the attention span to watch entire cutscenes. As a result, they cut out certain parts and add new ones to keep the player engaged.
2. **Marketing Tactics**: Developers may also do this to market the game as having "new features" or "new scenes." This can make players who already bought the game feel like these are new additions when, in reality, the developers are just removing features and reintroducing them later.
Basic presentation. They don’t get basic presentation correct. As long as people keep buying these games, they will keep doing it.

Event Mode was completely ruined by EA since UFC 4, now even you have the “show intros” option enabled, it only happens for the first fight on your card. Every other fight doesnt even have an intro and just goes straight to the fight. Whats the point of the mode then

Even the final face off/ fist bump is not good in ufc 1-4... Fighters are usually not that aggresive, bouncing around /, usually its much more cordial and calm yes the odd time they are bouncing but not usually. Id rather a casual glove touch with maybe some variations
UFC 5 I like the tunnel view and walk out but no ref inspection??? Why? No height no weight no info in the intro no final face off? Only a non fan would not realize this important. We haven’t had decent realistic ground and pound and clinch fighting in this game since EA UFC 3.
I would love to hear my whole name announced. It just kills the hype of the build up. It just falls flat with just your last name. I know it can be done. I've heard it on other sports games.

This always sucks, but at the end of the day I’d rather gameplay updates than stuff like this… technical submissions, more animations, more combinations, and more positions would mean much more to me.

I miss the old undisputed challenges where it was different fights that were popular and you had to complete certain actions to finish that fight. I enjoyed the challenges and the historic fights.

Super annoying and even stopped playing Fifa ,or whatever they call the recent one, coz after two games I still feel like I am playing Fifa 19. Saddly annoying for sure . They do this with attires in ufc 5 they keep adding new shorts for fighters, i unlock them, then they lock them and i hqve to pay for them after i already had it unlocked 🤦♂️

Thank you martial for this video, there isn't a whole lot of presentation they need outside of the fights, the walkouts are cool but they could dedicate 2-4 minutes before each online match for walkouts and intros and make them skippable by yourself if you don't wanna watch yourself they did it for fight night, they could do it for us, I had like 3 or 4 pages of things they need to do or change

I mean, hell they always do this. They done this to game face also, one of the best features their games ever had. Before ufc 4 came out, it said on the website when they took down game face, that it'd be back better than ever. It was never back, that was legit when ufc 4 was rumoured to be coming out..
Please tell EA to bring back the black and white alternate national fight kits. It's super annoying that they removed them, I believe they removed them in the January update.
Hate how they removed custom caf stats and moves “It’s because that makes them op in online fights!” well why can’t ea just allow custom stat cafs in offline mode, how hard? UFC 3 i find it fun to make custom players with custom stats and moves against ai compared to UFC 5 that forces you an ass archetype and moves or forces you to grind career mode for a half decent fighter

One word …shareholders. They do the same stuff with Madden. They took out the refs and blamed it on memory, but then added it back in a few years later as a new feature. EA is horrible, that’s why the lost the FIFA license, and probably will lose football soon. If another company made a good hockey or UFC game, I’d bet they’d lose those too.
