Anton is 26 this year, not really a youngster any more. Been an established top player in the german league for some years, and top 20 ranked for a while, but still kind of waiting for his big break in international tournaments. He also took 2 games off Ma at the WTTC 2017, 6 years ago.
@@Coops321 Yes, almost everyone does it, and yes, it does have an impact. First, the less information you have about the trajectory and spin of the ball, the less ability you have of properly returning the service. The players wouldn't do it if there wasn't an advantage; and they get away with it more often than not. There was a reason why the ITTF changed the rule in 2002.
@@madebyicarus If you can change the outcome of a game by winning an outright point, without a return volley, even if it's only 20% of the time, that can easily be the difference between winning and losing a championship. Or for that matter, merely continuing to participate in one. The impact can be significant to closely matched players.
as a Swede I'm very proud of Anton Källberg. I honestly expected 3-0 loss but jesus he gave a good fight. Good try Anton!!🔥
@@janhenke9256not his style but his technique.

what a game. i mean what a game. Kallberg was amazing. I want to want to watch the complete match now
The german league seems has done wonders for Kallberg, amazing game, focus as a laser, it could've been anyone's game
Incredible game, and one of the most fun to watch. Unbelievable skill and precision from both sides.
Strong match by Kälberg! His time will come
Don't cut the handshake in such a close match. What is wrong with the editors.
i think they should be included always. Show the reactions.
Absolutely! I also can't get it. Maybe it's because the handshake is less meaningful in the asian culture
hard fought match, mr anton really impressed me
Never seen Shallberg play so well. Good effort man.
hahaha
Yeah. Pronunciation is more like Shellberg, though.
Ma long has always been my favourite but Anton put up a very good fight
Красота, блестящая игра 👏👏👏
Anton Kallberg сыграл очень круто! Но Ma Long , есть Ma Long!
Jogo incrível. Ma long sofreu dessa vez.
amazing game by the sweden boy
You should definitely not spoil the partial result in the thumbnail

Which blade Anton used and rubbers?
Hi, since a couple of years the invention of google happened and if you open it, you can find so much information on there, it's insane.
Ma long is amazing
He almost lost lol/
I still cannot believe such stupid camera angle is catching on
Next time you go grocery shopping, buy some tissues please.
Anton could only return half of ML’s serve. He still pulled off 2 sets. Well done
How old is Anton? Almost thought Truls is the only swede youngster in TT

Anton cheats so bad on the service. This ball hiding rule needs to be addressed. For that matter, the vertical toss is also a problem.
Everyone does it, it doesn't really have an impact
