I'm pretty fkn certain that their entire customer base is cashed-up, trust fund, neppo baby vloggers with daddy's money to burn, given the state of the global economy over the last half a decade... Even pre-Boomer 'Silent Generation' folks born before the end of WW2 have figured out how to use their basic smartphones to take photos after some instruction from their Millennial grandkids... Who in the living fuck is spending the better part of $2,000 USD on a pocketable snapper these days?!?
It’s over a thousand dollars, bro, that ain’t affordable
You might as well just buy a second hand sony a7 III and a lens for the same price 🤣
@@neyfarias23 the sony a7 III is over 2k euros where i live
dawg its a quality camera, other 6k cameras sell for 3k+ , it damn near cut the traditional price in half which makes it more affordable .. wat

Affordable FULL FRAME camera.
@@phin1871there are many cheaper full frame cameras buddy
Full frame cameras are usually $3-5k
@@phin1871 Still a waste of money. It's bad for video because it's got a 15min recording limit, and it's bad for stills because it doesn't even have a mechanical shutter despite using a slow sensor. You'll get rolling shutter on anything that moves.
Yeah. Nah. Crippled a bit too much to achieve the size. Also isn't the Z5 cheaper? And soooo much better?
The most affordable mirror less full frame would be a canon RP.
Nop! Nikon Z5 > Canon RP
@@michelecintramika8482 Canon RP usually sells for $600 refurbed from Canon
Nikon Z5.
Someone at Panasonic HQ saw the Nikon Zf with the color leather and boxy design and was like "We need that as well" 😅
Ngl, I got Zf vibes when they announced the colourways too
@@TomCalton Just no EVF, so you're stuck with the toirist-taking photos-with-phone stance 😂
Panasonic did multiple colour options for the GM1 and GM5 about a decade ago.
$2000 isn’t affordable.
Of course it is a substantial amount of money, but there are very few cameras with this kind of specs. Not every camera has open gate at 6.2k on a full frame sensor. There are other options, and the one that seems the most comparable is the sigma fp.
Yes it is. Full-frame cameras are usually $3-5k. It's very cheap within the category. It's like saying a $30k sports car. Can you find cheaper cars? Yes, but it's an affordable car in it's category
@@jjOnceAgain totally, I think "value" would be a more adequate word than cheap 🤝
@@maximedelpech7217 he says "affordable". The definition of "affordable" is literally "reasonably price"
Panasonic forgot the hotshoe :(
the hot shoe is right there?
@@tonkatsu9907 the S9 has a cold shoe.
@@tonkatsu9907 there’s no electronics that allow anything you may place in the slot to communicate with the camera, thus by definition makes it a “cold shoe”
@@tonkatsu9907 no, it’s a cold shoe
How does Panasonic go from inventing the first camcorder with image stabilization to forgetting about adding contacts to a 1,000$+ camera’s shoe so you can use Speedlites? At least, they could’ve put an additional connection in the shoe so you could use some accessories they made like a viewfinder or a microphone, like the Sony Multi Interface Shoe
affordable? I don't think so
what's wrong with you?
@@VideoGameBoxReviews Hey bro, I mean this new camera w/o mechanic shutter, no hot shoes, no EVF, no small & compact lens to choose from (that MF 26mm F8 is a joke), recording limit (even in FHD), plastic body (no weather sealing) and it charged for 1500$
Cropping doesn't make the shot anamorphic. Still looks like a nice small camera
Waiting for iPhone fan boys to say that they still prefer the iPhone as their primary camera.
Isn't it the z5 that's the cheapest new?
That's 1.7K... affordable?
For a full frame camera, yes it's affordable.
CAD $2000.00 affordable to whom?
affordable for what it can do lol, nothing is “affordable” when talking about cameras

In the world of full frame, this (unfortunately) is considered affordable 😅

$1500 for a full frame is a steal dude
@@willywonka3050 Canon R8, RP, A6700 with a speed booster all beat this lumix. This LUMIX has cool features to keep up with the pack, but not any real hardware to stand out. I’d buy a used one for an actual deal and use it for everyday carry but not for paid gigs
@@reaxxion bruh dont listen to them. a brand new Nikon Z5, Canon RP, Sony A7c/A7iii body are much cheaper.

Hi guys, just a general question since i cant seem to get a solid answer elsewhere; i want to go travelling and need a camera to take with me, but im completely new to photography and dont want to pay a huge amount to get some decent pictures. What camera should i get?
LUT ? As in Teal & Orange filter... Like no other colours exist?
Lut doesn't mean teal and orange filter.
@@kris4637 You missed my point: all the LUT he showed on this video looked very teal&orange. All of them... so, honestly people are abusing that kind of filtering.
I see people saying numbers that get close to 2000 here, but to Brazil... It's R$16k (Help me)
where is the grip
Yes its expensive for a camera, but it's already been pointed out by many people that it is considered affordable COMPARED to other cameras of its type. And, for the people its i.e. content creators, its great. Film in the average 16:9 aspect ratio, then crop to whatever you need for shortform content, or 9:16. It also debuts a few new streamlined editing features. What im getting at is that its cheap AND competitive for the people shopping for this kind of camera
Sexy camera, but "affordable" is just a plain lie
It's affordable in full-frame terms. Everything is relative.
@@TomCalton that's valid, considering the new Sony cameras are 3x more
@@Robert_E you can buy a brand new a7iii right now for the same price and have unlimited 4K record time and take higher resolution photos. Autofocus is better as well as IBIS. This is simply a pocket/fannypack camera
Most affordable because Panasonic sent them one for free💀💀 i know because other TH-camr admitted that Panasonic sent them one for free. For the TH-camr that actually bought it and say it’s the cheapest camera you can get for 1,000 puse dolors. You sir are on easy mode on private Minecraft server. The rest of us are in the nether pvp ing with beds.
It’s not affordable at all, you can get best camera for that price
Affordable (full frame)
Leica Q3
If you don’t eat a Big Mac everyday for 284 days you will be able to afford this
I think it’s versatile than Leica Q Series.
This camera is obviously for people with loads of money, how about doing something for people on a low budget rather than expensive price range
He does that all the time, he recently a lot of $300 camera like the NX Mini and the Nikon 1 J5, now I don't think he did the best job with those videos but they were basic and passable to get your info with a few cheeky laughs in there. But yes he does cover tons of cheaper cameras
Beware. This camera has only an electronic shutter. This has some consequences on shooting in rooms with artificial light. You can get some banding. Too bad that they did not build in a mechanical shutter
What do you mean by affordable???
No EVF, no mechanical shutter, 6k Open Gate in 4:2:0 chroma subsampling…
CAD$2000…
Just no.
to be fair s5ii and s5iix also only supports 10bit 4:2:0 on 6k open gate
The S5 II doesn't cost that much more either. I don't understand the hype from many TH-camrs about the S9. 15 or 10 minutes shooting limit, no viewfinder and an F8 pancake without autofocus. I don't understand Panasonic. A Gx9 II would have made much more sense. But the photography world is simply clamouring for the so-called full-frame format, which in reality is a 35 mm format.
if you call $1500 affordable! you still need the good lenses or your wasting the money, so add at least $1000 more
You're right, the world of full frame can be a pretty expensive place, but this is one of the cheapest options.
My cousin made night vision out of these. Surprisingly good
for that price I can get a go pro, iPhone SE , and a cheap Panasonic superzoom.
It's not a full frame camera tho
I was exited to see affordable. Then I googled it and its $1,799.99 as of mid 2024. You gotta be kidding.
This misleading. If $1800 is affordable to you. Not for most of us.
It's not "affordable".
In 2019 I have bought Sony A7iii for 1450€
