It's quite misleading to say that Vision and Wanda share the same base of power. Vision's consciousness and all his abilities such as flight, phasing and energy blast come from the Mind stone. But it wasn't the same case with Wanda. She was born a witch before the experimentation. And when she was exposed to the energy of the Mind stone, a portion of it was absorbed into her body. Her innate magical energy was laced with the energy of an infinity stone, amplifying it. But even if Wanda didn't make contact with the stone, she would have still been a witch. But a witch who would gradually lose her power without even knowing she has it. The Mind stone may have played a part in her becoming the Scarlet Witch, but I'm sure as hell that it isn't the very reason why she was able to use Chaos Magic.
That’s not why, it didn’t amplify her at all either, it revealed her potential and who she was and revealed her power. And they don’t share a base power, why r u spreading misinformation
@@Nononuah Agatha Harkness literally says the Infinity Stone "amplified what would have otherwise died on the vine." My favorite detail in this whole show is that Wanda spends two days waiting for that bomb to kill her, and at the same time sees the Mary Tyler Moore show continuing to play the entire time. For Wanda, her coping mechanism is *inexorably* linked to the thing she’s trying to cope from. She’s trying to use sitcoms as a safe haven from her trauma, but in doing so is just tacitly, constantly re-traumatizing herself.
SWORD is not some random people. It would be no different if Shield took the body if they were still around. Id have to imagine that Steve and the rest of the surviving avengers did recover vision and probably had to turn him over to the government after the first snap.
Tony died only a couple weeks before Wanda went to SWORD. The entire show takes place only weeks after End Game. In Wanda's timeline, that is also only weeks after Infinity war.
10:19 might be wrong but the reason nothing showed up on the footage was probably because the mind stone was tampering with the cameras, which is why it just immediately cuts to her on the floor in the footage
I always thought it was because of the Sokovian Accords that Vision signed, so he basically became government property, and since SWORD was supposed to be the new SHIELD the Avengers leave him with them.
Half of all humans disappeared after the snap. Everyone was a little distracted at the moment. The people who retrieved Vision's body just didn't want anyone to know they have vibranium.
Remember that Tony was still in space with Nebula and Wakanda was likely in chaos after the battle and "dusting" of King T'Challa. SWORD is basically a new and improved iteration of SHIELD.
14:18 I like to think that visions body was owned by stark industries until tony died in endgame, and after that is when sword gained the rights to visions body and started the experiments on him. That would explain why they were still in the earlier processes of experimentation/disassemblement on him. But that's not confirmed, that's always just been my headcanon tho.
Wakanda probably shipped Vision's body back to the States to Avengers compound and SWORD must've intercepted it and seized it, probably under the pretense that it's dangerous technology. The Avengers were in shambles and still focused on finding Thanos at first, so taking on SWORD probably had to wait. Oh and it said on the deed, "To grow old in. Love, V." So, it was Vision who bought the plot of land to build a house on and he probably planned on surprising Wanda with it, but then Infinity War happened. I assumed she never knew about it until his personal belongings were left to her after his death. That's why it hit her so hard. Great reaction btw. This is my favorite episode of the series, but I love it all.
You forgot too that wakanda had just lost their king to the snap. The last thing they probably wanted was to resist the powers and letting vision go was one fight that wasn’t worth it considering everything else going on
Tony couldn't pick up Vision's body, because he was on Titan, thousands, maybe millions of miles from Earth, and about to die. After the snap, Sword probably arrived at the scene very quickly.
Your timeline is mixed up. Disney didn't buy FOX until way after Endgame. The acquisition of 21st Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company was announced on December 14, 2017, and was completed on March 20, 2019. Scarlet Witch has always been a copyright owned by Avengers/Marvel/Disney. FOX did not have the rights to Scarlet Witch or Wanda. Although she started of as a member of the brotherhood she has been a longer member of the Avengers, never the Xmen. However Disney/Marvel couldn't call her a mutant. They also had co ownership of Quicksilver. However Marvel/Disney couldn't call him Quicksilver or mutant. Fox couldn't call him Pietro they called him Peter instead. Im not entirely sure but thats probably they killed him off too because FOX planned to use him further
@@scoobydoo229 you said "Scarlet Witch reveal" which was when she first appeared in Winter Soldier post credits and Age of Ultron. And "Disney just bought the rights to Xmen" OH My bad!! Did you mean the name reveal in this episode? So sorry for misunderstanding your comment
it is the mind stone! the mind stone was in loki's scepter until it was used on vision's body, so when hydra had it, they used it to experiment on the twins. i always thought it was a cute reason as to why her and vision felt so connected to each other. (i've never understood why the scepter makes the mind stone glow blue, it's confusing and makes it look like the space stone.)
This episode was definitely an emotional roller coaster… the “What is grief if not love persevering.” and “I can’t feel you” absolutely broke me 😭 And I firmly believe Hayward stole Vision’s body wishing to turn “it” into a weapon, no way any of the Avengers would have allowed that (lost my own dad few moths before this episode aired, can’t imagine how messed up it would have been if my mum was told off like Wanda was by Hayward) Tv and sitcom’s are definitely therapeutic, speaking from experience. Also, Wanda’s powers were amplified by the MIND Stone- that’s why she and Vision are so connected
You should understand that the property deed with the heart on it became the calendar with the heart on it in the first episode. And the blinking red light on the Stark bomb became the blinking red light on the Stark toaster in the first commercial. So many little interconnecting details!
The kid aging thing is a sitcom thing. That's what every show does when they use babies in a show. They age them up for plot reasons and because of the law of how many hours babies and kids can be used because of child labor laws. Agatha already said at the beginning of her conversation with Wanda that she saw all those spells going up and had to come and investigate to see what and who was responsible. She's jealous and is basically grilling Wanda to discover how she did it and the source of her power. She wants it. Wanda's grief is what ignited her power burst of making that fake world. She didn't comprehend what she did until she got glimpses of reality shown to her. She spent her life finding comfort in sitcoms to escape the tragedies of her life, especially after that missile killed her parents and almost killed her and Pietro. She mentally escapes those traumas with the shows, like she was trying to convince herself while seeing the episode of the Dick Van Dyke show, and was in shock and denial about what just happened to her parents. Coping mechanism. Every time something or someone reminded her of her reality or challenged it, her magic would cause a distraction to make it stop. Mr. Hart was aggressively asking them why were they there. I think it was a part of the real person breaking through and angrily asking why are they there messing with their lives. ( basically, why are you here doing this to us) Wanda subconsciously made him choke to make it stop... Then, Wanda looked confused as to not comprehend what's going on. The wife was under Wanda's control to play her role, but once her husband started to choke, she tried to communicate her panick through the forced behavior Wanda had her do as a sitcom character. It turned into a twilight zone episode. If you look closely at how the camera angle switched when Mrs. Hart is repeating herself. She's first looking at him, then as the panick rises as he keeps choking, her body slightly shifts towards Wanda and she is begging her through her fake smile to STOP IT! Wanda is a telepath and she sensed the urgent panick. It's like some reality of the wife's emotions snapped her back momentarily and she told Vision to help him. Out the gate, Vision was under her control, but he is a synthisoid being created from different computerized elements and geniuses (Mindstone, Tony, Bruce, Jarvis, and maybe even a little bit of Shuri. This means he is always trying to solve a situation and figure things out. Each episode he got wiser to what was happening. Everytime he got close Wanda subconsciously distracted with a rewrite switch up or something/someone outside their scene. Agatha has been keeping track of everything to know her cues of when to play along just to get Wanda with her defenses down to manipulate and cause more confusion so she could sus out how Wanda did it all. She was like glue to Wanda's side. Wanda's mental state made her confused but complacent to keep it going, as long as she could stay in her happy sitcom bubble. When Wanda had the twins she ended up reminscincing about her brother, which is another traumatic experience for her. When she did, her mind was distracted by her reality, which meant that whomever was closest in proximity had Wanda's spell momentarily lifted. When she started singing the baby song in her native tongue, look closely at Monica. She looked like she was coming out of a haze from the spell. Her mind was her own and then she blurted out something she remembered from the paperwork she got on Wanda's backstory of her brother being killed by Ultron. Wanda asked her who she was and then Monica seemed confused by the question and said she didn't know. Wanda was starting to put her defenses back up. At that point Monica was in between knowing and not knowing what was going on, and then Wanda was very threatening, scaring Monica. She put a force field around Monica when she pushed her out the Hex, so Monica didn't feel the painful force of the buildings, just the landing impact. Wanda's American accent was being flipped back and forth even before this show. People on social media commented on it, but the show brought attention to it and revealed that it was her trying to fit into the world she wanted to ( like the happy American sitcoms)and escape that which reminded her of her tragic life. Escapism. That's why her accent came out when she left the Hex dressed in her Avengers costume. The Heart on the calendar in episode one that neither could figure out was not about the boss, it was about the heart and message put on the Deed for their home he bought for them to build and live in together. But she couldn't remember because it was freshly tied to her grief. I think Vision bought the property or got it somehow ( maybe as a gift to them from someone else, like Tony) and perhaps it was bought before the Avengers headquarters moved upstate. The N.Y. tower would have been a shorter commute from Jersey, for them. The first episode was in relation to her favorite show of all The Dick Van Dyke show. 1950's. 2nd episode was Bewitched before it went to color in the later part of the 60's. The magic box for their talent show act had Visions mindstone painted on the front with vertical lines coming off of it, to look like the scene when she had to use her powers to destroy it in his head. When the magic cabinet doors swing open, the stone is split open, like when she blasted it out of his head. That was an easter egg that a lot of people didn't notice. Her trauma was everywhere. Hayward prepped Vision's body like that and was trying to plant suggestions to make her want to bring him back to life because he's had a hidden agenda, since he took over as director of S.W.O.R.D. He gives off William Stryker vibes from Xmen. FYI- the Maximoff twins are the children of the powerful mutant Magneto. Legal issues with Fox, at the time, made it so that Disney couldn't even use the word "mutant" or the blood relation of the twins to each other or their father as mutants. Now the ink is dry on that "bought out Fox" deal. Wanda's twins are in the comics as Teenaged Avengers with the code names Wicken and Speed. Agatha worshipped what is the MCU version of the devil named Mephisto. He was locked in hell and the magic put into making Wanda's kids...the kids became the source of magic he could siphon to break out. Comic book Agatha used Wanda's mental breakdown to her advantage, but was kind of mentoring her with how to use her chaos magic, because Wanda was never taught it. Because Wanda was born a mutant, her dormit powers that manifested in her time of trauma and puberty would have faded, according to Agatha, but contact with the Mindstone (same stone that created Vision)upgraded her. It chose her and Pietro, while anyone else that signed up for Strucker's experiment died. They did not have the genetic marker that was needed to endure it. Millions of years ago the Celestials experimented on beings throughout the galaxies and gave them powers to try and improve their species. SIDENOTE: (mentioned in the Guardians of the Galaxy one. The collector told the Guardians about them with visuals. The head of a killed Celestial was made into Knowwhere. Quill's father, Ego was one who learned how to make a body to procreate with. He was looking throughout the galaxy for beings with the genetic marker of either an Eternal or Deviant DNA) When the Celestials came to earth they first fashioned some humans with a Deviant gene making them look more monster like, in order to hunt down the Apex predators that could wipe out their experimented creations. These Deviants became the new problem. The humans who became enhanced with powers but stayed looking human, are called Eternals. Millions of years into the present times, their descendants have the dormit "Mutant X Gene" (according to Xmen leader, Charles Xavier). If they are not just a carrier of the gene without manifesting powers of their own, but indeed do have dormit capabilities to have powers then it's usually awakened by traumatic shocks to their systems, puberty and exposure to Space radiation. In the case of Gamma radiation that would be Peter Quill in his mother's womb, since Ego made sure it was in her body for him to later manifest...that includes Steve Rogers with the formula and the radiation chamber he was put in. Bruce Banner may be a descendant of a Deviant because he turns into a super strong and indestructible monster...along with his Cousin She-Hulk who may have half Eternal blood and half Deviant blood, but more on that later. BTW, Thanos is a Deviant who was created, not birthed, by two Celestials who also made themselves bodies.
Yet another great and entertaining reaction, good lady Shelly (nickname of my your namesake elder sister). I’m just starting your typically insightful and astute post reaction, but I wanted to clear up some points you had: 1 Vision*****phrased to not be Spoilery” in the very near future you will find out the circumstances and conditions during the turmoil and social upheaval of the “Blip” for you to put together subjects like why the recovery of Vision's remains was not done by his friends. 2 The commercial breaks for every era of WandaVision episodes were allegorical or revelatory to Wanda’s past/present, but there was one commercial that was all about Agatha Harkness, which the intro to PREVIOUSLY ON depicted, YO MAGIC: The starving island castaway kid was Agatha, the surfer dude shark was the Book of The Damned and the unbreachable Yo Magic container lid was the spell she's been using to absorb another witch’s magical powers to retain her youth and longevity, but it wasn’t working on Wanda’s Chaos Magic. 3. You're RIGHT, it's the MIND STONE, the Infinity Stone that governs and resources the Information matter and energy phenomena of the universe. Her meld with the Mindstone instilled in her mastery of her nascent Probability Hex power, amplifying it to Chaos Magic. 4. Vision acquired the West View house plot as a surprise gift for Wanda, the heartbreaking discovery of a future Vision planned for them that cannot be is why it was critically devastating.
The Avengers weren't in the area where Thanos snatched the stone. When the snap happened they were reeling from the loss. It's not outside of the possibility that they didn't think about looking for The Vision. (As you later said while I was typing LOL!) In their shock they immediately went into damage control mode before dealing with their own stages of grief.
You don't believe the avengers would have left vision body. Steve and Natasha we're fugitive of the government so they had no rights to the vision corps neither did Tony. Tony did not create the vision it was Ultron. Also Tony signed the Sokovia accords which means he had to do whatever the government tells him to do. That's why there were no avengers during the two years after Captain America civil war up until Infinity war. The accords was a simple government tactic to have control over the avengers and any other super power individual. Tony retired with pepper in the woods. Steve became a counselor for grieving individuals during the blip. Natasha wss the head avenger for the past 5 years during the blip who also chose to work for the government to help to keep order during those trying times. The S.W.O.R.D organization was the only people qualify to deal with the vision body other than shield which was disbanded before the events of avengers Infinity war. Director Haywood purposely waited until the hero's return knowing Wanda would come for vision. Every other method of resurrecting the vision failed. So sword use the 80s drone to collect the Infiniti stone energy from Wanda's hex powers. To power the rebuild white vision.
Ok. First of all. This takes place after ENDGAME! NOT just Infinity War! Some of the people you’re talking about are DEAD, and/or in mourning themselves. Check yourself, calm down, and realize all the world here had been through, lol. 😮💨 I’m pretty certain they relocated Vision’s body after the Battle of Wakanda in 2018. Then, from there, a lot of infrastructure broke down…you’ll find this out as you watch shows like Falcon & Winter Soldier and films like Wakanda Forever. Governments basically collapsed in the 5 years following Thanos’ snap…and a lot of things probably got lost in the shuffle. By 2024 when this takes place, a lot is different. I guess we can assume Vision’s body was one of those things…and it’s highly likely a lot happened as S.W.O.R.D. was created & then restructured internally after Maria Rambeau died. Tony was dead, Bruce was busy becoming Smart Hulk…and honestly they were the only two who held the most claim to Vision…besides maybe Pepper…who has mostly stepped away from Stark and is no longer hands on AFAIK. Steve is old, possibly dead. Natasha is dead. Clint is retired (retiring). Thor is, well…off world mostly. T’Challa is, well…you’ll see. Shuri, Okoye and Wakandans have no claim nor reason to have taken his body. In fact if they had i suspect it might’ve created an international incident! And. Your other mini arguments are basically moot, lol, sorry. I get that you’re passionate & I fully appreciate it, but…you maybe aren’t fully thinking it through. Hope you enjoy the finale…get your tissues ready! 🥺 P.S. It IS the MIND stone…not the Space stone (Tessaract).
13:55 Well, Vision signed the Sokovian Accords in Captain America: Civil War, so basically he's government property 🤐🤐 and since S.W.O.R.D was supposed to be the new S.H.I.E.L.D. (when Monica was in charge), the Avengers thought it was the only responsible option leave it with them.
. It was in black and white except for that glowing red dot and the noise it made, as the woman glanced over at it with nervous eyes and a fake plastered smile....because it was a traumatic reminder of the missiles/bombs that killed her parents and almost killed her and her brother. 2. Strucker Hydra watch...the man who used the Scepter on her and Pietro making them go a little nuts. 3. Hydra soak...easter egg for fans that watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D of which a character mentioned that Hydra had a blue soap that could erase your mind and make you forget. In this case, Wanda wanted to forget all the bad stuff. 4. Lagos Paper towels: just before that commercial Hayward was debriefing everyone and mentioned the places that the Avengers were accused of causing destruction. In Civil War Wanda couldn't contain the direction of the explosion when she was pushing it up and away from Steve Rogers, and the explosion caused casualties in the building. The commercial tag line: "Lagos, paper towels. For when you make a mess you didn't mean to." 5. Nexus anti depressants: later confirmed that it was an attempt of Dr. Strange trying to get through to Wanda to remind her of who she is and what she's doing. But it didn't break through to her. Oddly, it was Agatha that actually forced Wanda to face her grief head on and it seemed to help the process faster. MONICA RAMBEAU: in the comics, she is also born with the X gene which also makes her a mutant. Going through Wanda's radiation barrier a few times activated her dormit powers. My theory is she's been aware that there was something different about her because she was unfazed by the results from her lack of results from the Xray machines and bloodwork. I think maybe she and her mom, Maria were on a mission together, in space where they were exposed to space radiation. Monica adapted, but her mother got cancer. Also, the Infinity stones were made up of the radiation blasts that created the Big Bang at the same time. Those stones were used throughout the galaxies by bothThanos and Bruce. The 3rd time Thanos only used them on themselves. They sent out waves of radiation with those stones. Some beings may have had their super powers awakened. Others it may have taken a few more runs...like Monica. She did the superhero landing so...that's proof right there. Lol😂 You've probably been told this, but Evan Peters ( fake Pietro) played Quicksilver/Peter in the Xmen Days of Futute's Past, and Xmen Apocalypse. FUN FACT: Evan and the Pietro from Age of Ultron were both in the movie KICKASS together. This was a wink and nod in the Halloween special when the word Kickass was said by Pietro and then slowly repeated by Wanda as if processing the word.
Good point about Vision's body. Wakanda I think would have the better claim on it especially since it was made mostly from materials stolen from them. But TV/Movie logic does not always follow real world logic. Makes a better story that Shield/Sword gets their hands on it. I like the idea that the Mind Stone appeared to Wanda in her mind, in only in her perception epically as the stone is not revealed to the world as being in the staff's gem until Vison is created.
Honestly I suspect that the Avengers did take Vision's remains with them - it's the only way that make sense for how he ended up in the U.S. Add to the fact that the Snap had just happened, Tony was recovering from nearly dying in space, the world was falling apart, an organization that wanted to take a look at the technology involved - possibly to help deal with some of the difficulties the world was suddenly facing - would probably have seemed to be not much of a big deal. Especially since that organization was run by Maria Rambeau, Capt. Marvel's closest friend; she would have probably vouched for them based on that alone. Remember that Hayward wasn't the Director at that time - Maria was. Maria only died three years after the Snap, so when SWORD got the remains, it would have been "Carol's BFF who is a bad ass scientist is pitching in to help figure out our new problems, up to and maybe even including bringing the Vision back" not "some faceless and probably evil government organization wants our beloved friend's remains" kind of thing.
I don't get Vision's body being at sword's headquarters being hard to believe actually., The Avengers LOST leading to half the world. Half the UNIVERSE disappearing, I don't think they would have had the PULL to decide where Vision's body goes. Wakanda had just lost their king cause remember T'challa got snapped, So I think would have been more preoccupied with making sure their country is stable to care too much about what happens to Vision. Well, not to say that they didn't care, but that it would have been way low on their list of priorities. Then after they got everyone back, I don't know if it would have been on anyone's minds except Wanda. Tony died. Steve went back in time and "got a life" Natasha and Clint, I don't see them caring so much. Clint was 100% focused on his family because his entire family got snapped and now they were suddenly back. Yeah, I just don't see how it being difficult to believe. Edit: and someone else pointed out that Tony was in space when Vision died. That is such a good detail that even I forgot.
Tony was stuck in space for 5 years. If you watch the Endgame scene where Steve was gonna return the stones you can see helicopters and people cleaning up the destroyed Avengers facility. Im assuming the government did the same thing in Wakanda during Infinity War. Or maybe his body was in the rubble of the Avengers facility. Vision did sign the Sokovia Accords so technically the government owns him.

The Scarlet Witch reveal was a big thing at the time because Disney just bought the rights to X-MEN.
@@markcruz359 I didn't mention a date though.
@@scoobydoo229 you said "Scarlet Witch reveal" which was when she first appeared in Winter Soldier post credits and Age of Ultron.
And "Disney just bought the rights to Xmen"
OH My bad!!
The Space Stone was in the Tesseract. The Mind Stone was in Loki's staff. So you were right the first time in saying Mind Stone.
This episode was definitely an emotional roller coaster… the “What is grief if not love persevering.” and “I can’t feel you” absolutely broke me 😭 And I firmly believe Hayward stole Vision’s body wishing to turn “it” into a weapon, no way any of the Avengers would have allowed that (lost my own dad few moths before this episode aired, can’t imagine how messed up it would have been if my mum was told off like Wanda was by Hayward)
Tv and sitcom’s are definitely therapeutic, speaking from experience.
Sitcoms were her safe space and brought her comfort. The longing of the life she would never had! 28:44
Agata Harkness is a character of Marvel comics
He was looking throughout the galaxy for beings with the genetic marker of either an Eternal or Deviant DNA)
When the Celestials came to earth they first fashioned some humans with a Deviant gene making them look more monster like, in order to hunt down the Apex predators that could wipe out their experimented creations.
I’m just starting your typically insightful and astute post reaction, but I wanted to clear up some points you had:
1 Vision*****phrased to not be Spoilery” in the very near future you will find out the circumstances and conditions during the turmoil and social upheaval of the “Blip” for you to put together subjects like why the recovery of Vision's remains was not done by his friends.
The mind stone enhanced Wanda’s natural witchcraft powers. It is the mind stone in Loki’s staff. The space stone was in the tesoract.
Vision signed too!
Yess I been waiting for this. Your reactions are always so entertaining and this show is SO GOOD
Not the space stone. The mind stone is what was inside the Sceptre.
The space stone was taken back to Asgard at the end of the first Avengers
Vision’s body was considered US property. It is also tied to the Sykovia Accords from Civil War and Visions Will.
For when you make a mess you didn't mean to."
Lol😂
You've probably been told this, but Evan Peters ( fake Pietro) played Quicksilver/Peter in the Xmen Days of Futute's Past, and Xmen Apocalypse.
Magneto is the Scarlett Witch's father in the Xmen Universe,
Always here for Bruce and Nat slander.
Great reaction and thoughtful post discussion as always.
Thats so true wakanda should have been the ones to take visions body since they own vibranium
One thing to keep in my about visions body Tony was dead at this point he couldn't object
Tony wasn’t in space for 5 years-, a few weeks probably because they were also running out on food and the “5 Years Later” happens after that intro-
They signed the Sokovian Accords, giving the UN rights over their affairs, including the Vision. That's why the government had the right to take him
