The three songs by Céline Dion which I enjoy, in rank order (note this comment is personal but reads more like some official review): 1. 'Je Sais Pas' (10/7/1995) from the album 'D'eux' (30/3/1995). Translation of the song title to English: 'I Don't Know'. The atmospherics of the music and singing stir me. This does not appear here... perhaps this video is limited to songs in English or perhaps it was only English language songs which made the charts in the United States of America and/or the United Kingdom. The official music video for the song on TH-cam has a rather low like percentage of 92.99%. 2. 'I'm Alive' (9/8/2002) from the album 'A New Day Has Come' (22/3/2002), also released on the soundtrack 'Music From And Inspired By Stuart Little 2' (16/7/2002). It is the most popular song mentioned in this comment but not the biggest Céline Dion hit. It suits her and it is good to be alive:) It is too bad that it appeared at a time after air brushing came onto the scene e.g. in the official music video. The music video has a 94.63% like ratio which is also on the low side. 3. 'Alone' (5/5/2008) from the album 'Taking Chances' (7/11/2007). Unbeknownst to me prior to writing this comment, this song was originally released by the band 'i-Ten' from their album 'Taking A Cold Look' (both single and album released in June 1983). The most famous cover version was by the band 'Heart' in 1987. Prior to watching the video I am/we are commenting under, I did not know that Céline Dion has also covered the song. I have now viewed the live performance in Boston, United States of America which also serves as the song's official music video. It is a song which suits her. I prefer it to the 'Heart' version. The key is to keep one's expectations in check i.e. given Dion's powerful voice on other songs. She pulls it off, only just. She understands the song so, yeah, I enjoyed it. Dion won the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, performing for Switzerland. After releasing several French language albums in the 1980s she released her debut English language album 'Unison' on 2 April 1990. The first song shown in this video has a date of 1991 and the most recent a date of 2018. Alas, I am not a fan of Céline Dion's biggest hits such as 'The Power of Love' (1993), 'My Heart Will Go On' (1997) and the like. With the exception of the above three songs, I feel "you've heard one Céline Dion hit, you have heard most-all Céline Dion hits". She seems a decent person and, of the sheer volume of music she has released, she has left the aforementioned songs which I do enjoy. 'Je Sais Pas' (1995) is definitely "a keeper". Brilliant. She did have an English song before that one, but I guess it didn't hit the charts in the UK and the US. The rest of her songs in the 80s were in French.
She has 3 other english songs that were released only in Canada. 2 of them are made for a movie and one of them is a duet that didn’t included in any of Celine’s album. The titles are: 1. Listen to the Magic Man (1985) 2. Michael’s Song (1985) 3. Can’t Live With You Can’t Live Without You (1989) (this one is a gem!) And the rest of her 80s released are french
@@EmilianoLedoux why didn't they just made it a single when the movie came out and just released the song? but it's crazy how artist and labels nowadays have learned how to capitalize on things like this.
Did You Give Enough Love wasn’t charted on UK hot singles or Billboard Hot 100 because the song was released as a radio single only in Canada Next Plane Out wasn’t charted also cuz it’s only released in Australia The Power of the Dream also didn’t charted because it’s released as a single only in Japan
that's so bizzare to think about cause nowadays even if you put out a song specifically catered to let's say japan or the uk people can and will still listen to your song regardless but rarely do artist do that anymore and just opt for an international release cause streaming is so accessible now.
ITS ALL COMING BACK TO ME NOW AND ALL BY MYSELF DESERVE #1 tho 😭
They sure do! Also think twice.
And a new day has come
"Water from the moon" deserves entered top 10 charts in US & UK 🤔
Only One Road would a huge sucess in USA if It was released right after The Power Of Love!
Exactly!!!!!!
Gosh she's a queen💜💜
Can you also do this for France? I'd love to see how she did in her most successful country.
I just love this woman
My Heart Will Go On ❤️
Gorgeous! :-*

Then You Look at Me, I Want You to Need Me
I was surprised that Think twice only ranked position 95 in the States.
Because Think Twice didn't make as a single in the US
I love you and i love you goodbye

What's with her releases prior to Where does my heart beat now? Or was that her first English language song?

I'm quite surprised that My heart will go on was on #1 for only 2 weeks in both countries when in many others it stayed for 3+ months. :o
Sony decided to release the physical single in a limited quantity, in order to increase álbum sales

How is this video under 6 minutes?
Too bad Water From The Moon didn't chart . It is my favorite Celine song..
Where is the Eurovision one ☝️
According to wikipedia it wasn't released in neither the UK nor North America in general (except for her native Quebec).
Isn't it weird that her big breakthrough in Europe, "Think twice", flopped in America.
But wasn't The Prayer with Andrea Bocelli?
Yes in the 1998 album These Are Special Times .
There's no To love you more and I love you goodbye
And Have You Ever Been In Love

Celine Dion has a lovely voice but her song choices are questionable and her music videos are awful.
lol 💀💀💀
all your statements are incorrect btw
@@iicedcoffeervAccording to your statement:
Celine Dion has a horrible voice but her song choices are sensible and her music videos are amazing.
She is over rated singer
What makes you think so ?
you can't even sing or if you can you're jealous of her success lmao
she must be so overrated that she has 240 awards to her name, more than 200m album sales, and more than 1 billion concert sales 🥰
