Let's Talk About: Tumescent Solution

For any liposuction case and for many facial/neck procedures, we use tumescent solution.
Tumescent solution is a mixture of medications in either normal saline or lactated ringer's that gets infused into the tissues to help with pain control, to decrease bleeding and bruising, and to also help separate the tissues that are about to be dissected or undergo liposuction.
The solution contains medications like lidocaine and epinephrine. However there are other medications that you can add that give other added benefits.
