The key is finding the real traditional, old fashioned women with values and unfortunately they won't be on dating services. You have to court them, win them and their family over. To the comments about learning the language, i agree. Im not fluent, but im not far from it. Google translate is great but it's flawed, and some areas and situations, you don't want your phone out anyways. Also, knowing at least some of the language makes the women respect you more, because it shows your trying to embrace the culture, and your not just there for the cat. The girl I dated, we only used Google translate for long or complicated sayings. But yeah, anywhere you go with a language barrier, people respect you more if you're at least trying to speak their language

I went to the same Barbershop next door to the hotel where I was stayed. It looks like the show was also filmed at the same hotel. What you said is so true, I am speaking from a retired military experience. Back in the day military service members serving overseas would marry foreign nationals from the host country. The female would spoil the military service man in the marriage overseas. But once they bought the female State side, they would change up on the service member. They would eventually sleep around behind the service member back, whenever he got deployed or went out to sea. These women are in love with the idea of marrying someone to come to the States. They're not in love with the individual who brings them to the States and that's reality period.

I'm not mad at you for crossing borders brother. My wife is from Central America and we met online and have been married for 4 years now. My job allows me to work remotely so I was able to go back and forth to visit 1-2 times a month and she came to the states a few times before we married. We did long distance for one year and then tied the knot. My family absolutely loves her and my mom repeatedly says to me "you got a good one." I love everything about her. She currently has covid and is doing the laundry, sweeping the patio and cleaning the kitchen. I've urged her to sit down an relax but I'm learning that trying to tell a Latina not to clean is an exercise in futility.

not really, if you've ever been to Latin America you'll find the people there very open and friendly generally speaking, far more so than in the US or UK. Sure there will be people specifically looking for wealthy foreigners but this isn't the same for everyone.

The world is too advanced for us not to know more than one language living in a country where every language group is. You can't have a relationship built on Google Translate. People don't think about other family members needing to have a connection and communicate as well which is important in other countries. Can't sit back and only expect one side to do all the changing and adjusting. I started learning Spanish years before because I love the culture first and foremost then started forming relationships... I love the fact that he's focused on learning the language as well. He comes across as a genuinely nice person and I wish him well. However I think for it to work he would have to live in Colombia, so that she remains close with her family (very important for her) and also that maintains her identity and personality. Foreigners have the advantage in Latin America when it comes to dating and if she came to the US there is the risk of her becoming westernised and losing all of her qualities that are unique to latinas, as well as being surrounded by other guys. So he should move to Colombia and start a business (don't expect to find work easily unless its as an English teacher) and integrate in to the Colombian society, especially focusing on the language - he has to have a desire to learn and speak Spanish, make friends, network and so on in Colombia. Colombia is not without its problems and there is a trade off to be had in terms of safety, economics, corruption etc. Don't try and change things but instead have acceptance and adapt to them.
I am hoping he is bilingual because the language barrier can be or cause communication issues in the near future choose wisely my brother and all the best in your endeavors.

I'm not mad at you for crossing borders brother. My wife is from Central America and we met online and have been married for 4 years now. My job allows me to work remotely so I was able to go back and forth to visit 1-2 times a month and she came to the states a few times before we married. We did long distance for one year and then tied the knot. My family absolutely loves her and my mom repeatedly says to me "you got a good one." I love everything about her. She currently has covid and is doing the laundry, sweeping the patio and cleaning the kitchen. not really, if you've ever been to Latin America you'll find the people there very open and friendly generally speaking, far more so than in the US or UK. Sure there will be people specifically looking for wealthy foreigners but this isn't the same for everyone.

The world is too advanced for us not to know more than one language living in a country where every language group is. You can't have a relationship built on Google Translate. People don't think about other family members needing to have a connection and communicate as well which is important in other countries. I started learning Spanish years before because I love the culture first and foremost then started forming relationships... I love the fact that he's focused on learning the language as well. However I think for it to work he would have to live in Colombia, so that she remains close with her family (very important for her) and also that maintains her identity and personality. Foreigners have the advantage in Latin America when it comes to dating and if she came to the US there is the risk of her becoming westernised and losing all of her qualities that are unique to latinas, as well as being surrounded by other guys. So he should move to Colombia and start a business (don't expect to find work easily unless its as an English teacher) and integrate in to the Colombian society, especially focusing on the language - he has to have a desire to learn and speak Spanish, make friends, network and so on in Colombia. Colombia is not without its problems and there is a trade off to be had in terms of safety, economics, corruption etc. Don't try and change things but instead have acceptance and adapt to them.
