New viewer here! I’m very excited for this movie. FYI the Turner Diaries is not a kids book. It was published in 1978 by a neo-nazi and depicts the overthrow of the U.S. government and race war. It was highly influential in the 1996 Oklahoma bombings.
@@rorys.1681 thanks for tuning in man. They mentioned in the movie that it was intended for kids so that’s what I was going off of. One of the characters even reads it to his toddler son like it’s a bedtime story. Haven’t read it myself but I’ve heard it has been influential in the bombings. Thanks for watching x
nothing neo about it, also notcee was always supposed to be a slur, National Socialist is the preferred term. The OKC bombing was a response to WACO, which was the worst school massacre in USA history and it was perpuated by the government... they used tanks to burn, gas, shute, 78 people 40 mothers. the other mostly children. Stop thinking wikipedia is enough to 'be up to date'..
Waco was the worst school massacre in USA history... but people buy that it was a cult... it was even just White seperatist. It was literally just a Christian compound. they had dozens of blacks living with them. It was the WORST SCHOOL MASSACRE, and it was perpetuated by the government. 14 Autopsies showcased death by gunshot, not by smoke.. But it was the tanks that broke the gas lines that caused the fire. They brought tanks against the peoples because they didn't like government intrusion. OKC was an FBI field office... Some will claim it was cover for the White Water investigation regarding the Clintons.
@@smplfi9859 not a white supremacist group but was definitely a cult, with Koresh acting as a messiah having impregnating underage girls of his congregation. There’s no way you can listen to the teaching of David Koresh and this was a sane individual.
I got a picture of Nicholas standing behind my brother's vintage car. Can't wait to see the film. (Apparently the car is part of crime scene evidence featured in a photograph)
@@LukeHearfieldCan the audience be responsive to this movie? Hollywood and the mainstream media will push hard because they are sensitive with those topics, now an original movie must go to the Oscars to make money. Tough.
Jude Law I prefer him playing sleek antagonist like Sleuth and The Talent of Mr Ripley. Nut we are in an era where such spy infused gendre mivies do not hold much appeal anymore. So the younger actors like Nicholas Holt had a better chance of getting into the Iscars. He comes in a package tied up eith cobbledtoned and sticks and gives that awe feeling of strength.
Nicholas Hoult is on my long 😅 list for actors whom I'd like to get Oscar-nominations. He's an excellent character actor. This year, if we're lucky, we could get so many great actors (and actresses) get their first nom. PS: Your description of the film reminds me of BlacKKKlansman, which was amazing (and Oscar-nominated. 😉)
It's reasserting Universal Order. The term came from Charles Manson, who is also demonized and regulary compared to Hitler. It's because Manson didn't have the brute image. He used beautiful sunshine girls to reestablish God's Will in our land. The people they took out in the hills were pron peddlers and racemixing advocates in hollywood using propaganda to destroy the nation

Justin Kurzel is the most interesting director working at the moment. Looking forward to this one.

@@pikebishop8516 I should think So. The crowd seemed to enjoy it at venice. Would love to see it get some noms but it may fly under the radar x
Luke the reason the fire looks so great in that sequence is because it was real fire, not CGI. I worked on the film and was there.
Are you a nazi yet or do you need to read more?
it was filmed in canada -- does it look like 80s idaho?
Same small town the filmed Under the Banner of Heaven, Wyonna Earp, and episodes of Fargo (all set in mid western america). Didsbury, Alberta
Great it is on my watchlist now
