Good show. Enjoy your productions and am definitely a fan of The Wild Carrot. I'm curious if in your interviews you've come across former SOG 1-0 Kevin Smith? I believe he was CCN. I was privileged to have him as a Team Sergeant in the 80s when I joined 11th SF in Winston-Salem. Great soldier with worlds of experience. In fact, that team was comprised mainly of Vietnam era SF soldiers.
@@budgibson185 I was fortunate to get that time with them. I got out of the Marines and joined 11th, but I was only with them about a year after completing all the training. Nick Rowe was the commandant at SWC when I went through. Another hero of mine. My team commander was awas was ss former Vietnam fs9 daw
Absolutely! I never call him doc. Only the recon marine corpsman and SOG medics. Most of the men prefer I just call them by their name . Not big on the formalities
what is his point- Jim Jones is so humble and doesn’t hide or brag about his success. So no he doesn’t reference himself as doctor. He’s more humble and well rounded. Stop stirring up shit broh 😊
Jim is a friend and a very interesting man. I appreciate his service to our country and his incredible work with SOG.
Love what you do on the channel. Thank you for keeping these stories front and center.

Another excellent interview! Keep up the great work at keeping the Vietnam War history alive.
Wild carrot yea baby!
This Guy is a MAGICAL TOP MAN 🎩🎩🎩
Hate to miss Dr. JJ. Shorten! Guy is/was a true adrenaline lover & humanitarian. Definitely “One of the Most Interesting Men in the World”!
Great stories, Bud, thank you!
I would be interested in taking a look at adding some of Jim’s meteorites to add to my collection. 😊

Yes Kevin smith if I’m not mistaken was on NC or intruder. Let me look in my records and I’ll verify! But I know him , he ran w Uncle Nick Brokhausen
I bet you learned some amazing things

Stuck my phone in my pocket and sent that before I was ready. My team commander was a Vietnam era PJ. It was a good time with some excellent men.
Man, what a Great interview Bud and Dr Shorten
Wild carrot sounds like he was the most daring mofo.
Looks like a NVA PT-76 Amphibious Tank.
I agree it does on a first glance, if you look at the turret more closely it points to the comparable Chinese made Type 63 amphibious tank
4:41 No kidding
if you only want to live in a co try run by gay nazis, GTFO. TRUMP FOREVER!!!!
I am a PHD, in the real world only MD make people call them "doctor". Just saying.
