You can enter the mirror by touching a certain flame. Tears are counted in tears per second, and most importantly: You have to forget about Rebirth and Afterbirth it's a completely different game now with different mechanics and stuff.

"We will nerf all items and make every enemy in the game 2x harder, also the new enemies will be tanky, instant bullet hell explosions and fast as fuck"
@@DamageMaximo I don't get the constant complaining about the game being harder? Yes, hard mode is hard now. But that's a good thing imo, as most Afterbirth+ runs were easy wins and hard mode shouldn't just hand you an easy win every run. I also don't get the complaining about the new enemies? Yes, they are harder. The new floors are harder. The entire point of the Antibirth floors has always been having to sit through a higher difficulty, but getting more item options as a reward for that. It's been like that in the mod, which was praised by the community, since it came out. If you want to go back to easy steamroll runs you can always just switch to normal mode, no one is judging you for that you know.
@@koshakvesely8186 True, the game definetely is harder, but I personally don't feel like the difficulty is unplayable. I know this is a small sample size, but the 5 Isaac players in my friend group all think it's better now than before. The new final bosses seem fine in difficulty, (spoiler) Witness/Mother seems about as hard as Hush and Dogma/Beast feels slightly easier than Mega Satan imo. Sure, fighting them the first time ended my run, but the second time the attack patterns didn't catch ne off guard as much. I will say that the learning curve of the game seems much steeper now though.
Loving the content, crazy to see how much harder the game is now, I can’t wait to try it out. No clue how I’m going to do unlocks for everyone over again for PC
the mirror at 6:30 is entered by finding the soul fire(a pale bluish gray flame), hitting it to become the lost temporarily and then entering the mirror as the lost, then you use this to get the knife piece 1 from the mirrored item room
Important announcement: Dr. Fetus now makes you immune to the bombs you shoot because of it Edit: It's actually Ipecac and Dr. Fetus together that does it
Pretty sure it doesn't, I had it twice now and I think I got hurt by my own bombs. The good news is that your bombs don't knock around each other making it mush more predictable
@@ethhics I wonder what happened on my run then. I had Ipecac, which definitely hurt me, but when I picked up Dr. Fetus the explosions did nothing. I definitely don't remember picking up any bomb immunity items, and I got hurt by other explosions. Odd
Repentance was something got me into the game recently. All I can say is, after watching your content I thought I would be decent. Little did I know, you agree with the fact that holy shit this game is definitely not beginner friendly anymore.
A few things to note: -That white fire you saw in Downpour II was related to the mirror you saw on the same floor. If you embrace the alabaster flames, you will become lost, and need to reflect on your surroundings to find the treasure you seek. -Fire rate is now measured in 'tears per second (tps)' (it used to be measured in frames between tears or something, which is why a lower number translated to a higher fire rate). 5 tps is the same as 5 fire rate in AB+, and Cancer (the trinket) increases your fire rate by a flat 1 tps. -Abbadon has been nerfed. It only gives two black hearts now, but instead of removing all red heart containers, it converts them into black hearts. (You might have mentioned this already) -The door to the Mausoleum will accept any kind of heart, not just soul hearts and black hearts. -To unlock Bethany, 'beating hard mode with Lazarus without losing a life' means beating Mom's Heart/It Lives. Actually seeing an ending cutscene is not necessary. -You can now completely empty your red heart containers without using soul hearts when playing a blood donation machine/demon begger. -Shops can now be randomly lower level in Hard Mode. -The Negative has been buffed, and now gives a damage upgrade about equivalent to The Pentagram/Synthoil/Growth Hormones.
Touch the white fire and become the lost temporarily, as the lost go through the mirror, the item room has the first key piece. In the mines press 3 yellow buttons and a railway will be constructed in a room with an empty cart, hop in the cart and go through a mini floor without items. Grab the second knife piece. After grabbing it, the place will fall apart with a scary face chasing you, escape like indiana jones and you good.
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who finds pooters to be rather difficult now. After watching hundreds of hours of the game, when I initially got it a week or two ago I got to say I did not expect them to prove to be such a hassle.
I really enjoy watching you figure out everything. I'm really excited and interested to see how the future episodes turn out. Hopefully the Hutts Luck starts to kick in soon.
This is... Incredible lol Repentance is very hard, yes, but even just the graphical and sound updates make it SO much better to play. I'm really liking it so far. ...those *bonk* sounds in the outro though lol
In Downpour II, there will be a room with a mirror on the side of a wall. In another part of the map, there will be an inextinguishable white fire. Coming into contact with the fire will turn the character into The Lost. After turning into the lost, walking into the mirror will grant access to the mirrored world.
Hutts to go through that mirror you need to walk into that white fire you saw, when you want into that white fire you turn into a ghost. When you walk through the mirror the whole map inverts and you also get more item rooms
Hutts, to use the mirror on Downpour II do the following: 1. Take damage from a WHITE FIRE on Downpour to turn into a 'Lost' 2. Enter the Mirror World 3. Fight your way to the item room in the Mirror World 4. Obtain Knife Piece 1 Fin
On the floor with the white fire, walk into it. It turns u temporarily into the lost and then u can walk through the mirror. Then u have to travel to the item room as the lost to get the knife piece. The second knife piece is in the mines. There is a mine that leads you through a door and then it’s a puzzle with a scary dude chasing you to get out.
For the mirror, you have to find a white fire and walk into it, you'll become pretty much the lost and then walk into the mirror. Be careful as one hit is enough to kill you, now you'll have to go to the item room and you'll get a knife piece! I don't know anything about the mines as i keep dying before reaching them lol
Managed to get Bethany yesterday with a crazy lucky run. Like, Cricket's Head was just sitting in a corner on floor 1 and 20/20 was what replaced a Number One at one point. It was crazy.
To get first knife piece: in downpour you find a white fire then walk into it you will turn into the lost and then walk into the mirror.but to get the second knife piece you find and press all three yellow buttons in the mines then find the room with a minecart and ride it and solve the puzzles and run out quickly
I just want to say, remember the witness in antibirth? That giant room? Guess what the new witness gives you a TINY AS HECK ROOM, ALSO NO 4 CHESTS WITH ITEMS
the mirror is used to get the first knife piece. its that white fire that you can walk trough. after you have walked trough it you become the lost and you can walk in the mirror.
8:27 They changed how you get into the mirror now, that flame right there you walk into to become like the lost and then you can enter the mirror apparently, I haven't tried yet because I only read it while I was at work so haven't had a chance, but that's what has been said about how to get in.
I discovered how to get through the mirror when I wasn't paying attention and walked straight into the fire in the middle of the room. The death sound scared the shit outta me though. Overall, it was pretty poggers
It feels like Ed takes away a lot of fun stuff with every update The temperance machine were removed from greed mode You can't pick up devil deal items if they would kill you even if you would get health back from them You can't play two temperance machines at once anymore Curse and angle rooms suck What did I miss ^^? What comes next?
D100, D4 and other full reroll items have been nerfed by not bringing over transformations meaning there is really no reason to use them unless your run is complete shit. I had missing no and it fucked me over twice on delirium because it gave me curse of the eye lol.
@@HarroKitteh on damn that sou ds horrible o.O I am not a game designer but I don't like nerfing things I think it's better to buff everything else so that every item is kinda useful Otherwise you have to choose between two items that are both shit But if every item is good you are like "oh take I this item which always has been good or do I take the other item that has been buffed and is also really good right now?" That would at least be FUN
1:18 Assuming Stitches has not been changed past giving you full control of his movement, you can swap with Stitches while he's on top of an enemy to insta-kill them.
Stitches is a lot more useful than Hutts gave it credit for in this video. It gives you i-frames when you teleport, and teleporting on top of enemies telefrags them for massive damage. The i-frames let you enter curse rooms for free, too
25:00 Nah. Nah, it shouldn't have been streamed first. This is much more genuine and relatable than some guy going "so I played this for 500 hours already, unlocked everything and here's a run that takes no effort haha lol". It doesn't need to be a "crazy abilities win" to be entertaining. The thing that needs to be entertaining is the player, not the game for YT content.
Dunce cap probably has spectral because otherwise you straight up wouldn't be able to complete some rooms Dunce by itself is horrible, you have to have other items to make it good
hutts don't blow up the mirrors, you can run into the white fire, become a character like the lost, go into the mirror which is a mirrored floor of your current one then you can get a knife piece from the item room
I cant be the only one who absolutely loves when Hutts gets tilted. Also, partially unrelated to the video, where's that sweatshirt/hoodie from. I love it.
Didn’t watch the whole video yet, but that pale fire is part of getting a knife piece. You run into it to turn into The Lost, to which you can run into the mirror to a mirrored world. The knife piece is in the mirrored treasure room.
the mirror works like this: the white fire you find on downpour 2 turns you into the lost (with the holy mantle) and then you can enter the mirror (if its not destroyed)
In order to get the knife u have to hurt urself on the white fire in downpour 2 and then go through the mirror find your item room and the knife piece will appear (note:u will temporarily become the lost but u can go back through the mirror after u get the knife piece) then in mines 2 u have to press all 3 golden buttons and find a big room with a minecart on a track once u have found this room and pressed all 3 buttons you go into a second part of the mines get to the end to find the 2nd knife piece but after u grab it u have to run from some kind of face demon thing if u can escape u get to keep the knife :) i recommend not going in unless u have crap tons of health have fun Hutts :)

@@DamageMaximo I think that it is pretty clear that blowing it up is wrong after you try it
You gotta touch the "Eternal Fire" to access the Mirror, then you'll enter the "Mirror World" you have to then go back through the floor as the lost to find the Item room which contains the first knife piece. You can get an extra boss item although it's risky.
Thanks but no one asked for spoilers. (Also he already knows that. Check Hutts 2)
He's way ahead of ya my friend, he's already unlocked most hidden stuff on stream and gotten the new endings.
„We will nerf it“ they said, „it will be easier“
Edmund lied as naturally as he breathed
@@helagewurzketchupdelikat269 hard mode is hard, alright. But there is also a normal mode for normal people. And it became so fucking harder
@@koshakvesely8186 True, the game definetely is harder, but I personally don't feel like the difficulty is unplayable. I know this is a small sample size, but the 5 Isaac players in my friend group all think it's better now than before. I also don't see how normal mode got harder, but I can't really judge that since I mainly play on hard.
12:45 the reverse sound effect of the *bonk* when he used the glowing hour glass was god tier
Loving the content, crazy to see how much harder the game is now, I can’t wait to try it out. No clue how I’m going to do unlocks for everyone over again for PC
Can we talk about how fly this man's mustache is
the mirror at 6:30 is entered by finding the soul fire(a pale bluish gray flame), hitting it to become the lost temporarily and then entering the mirror as the lost, then you use this to get the knife piece 1 from the mirrored item room
Important announcement: Dr. Fetus now makes you immune to the bombs you shoot because of it
Edit: It's actually Ipecac and Dr. Fetus together that does it
F I N A L L Y
ONE GOOD THING IN THIS DLC? WOW
Pretty sure it doesn't, I had it twice now and I think I got hurt by my own bombs. The good news is that your bombs don't knock around each other making it mush more predictable
Nope, that doesn't happen. Although you can hold the fire key now and the bombs will progressively get faster, so that's nice
@@ethhics I wonder what happened on my run then. I had Ipecac, which definitely hurt me, but when I picked up Dr. Fetus the explosions did nothing. I definitely don't remember picking up any bomb immunity items, and I got hurt by other explosions. Odd
I personally got a tear rate of about 40, with no signs of slowing down... makes me extremely happy cuz I love the absurd amount of tears
I love the bonk noises in the outro song, a great touch
Repentance was something got me into the game recently. All I can say is, after watching your content I thought I would be decent. Little did I know, you agree with the fact that holy shit this game is definitely not beginner friendly anymore.
A few things to note:
-That white fire you saw in Downpour II was related to the mirror you saw on the same floor.
(You might have mentioned this already)
-The door to the Mausoleum will accept any kind of heart, not just soul hearts and black hearts.
God damn, its so good to have Hutts playing so much Isaac!
Knife piece one: look for the white fire
Knife piece two: look for the minecart
Thank you for being a true meme boy and taking the dunce cap lol impressive how well you still manage with it
Ok, so i was just playing isaac and the little horn(item) is so great!
Terraria?
@@magnuserikkepro5494 if you mean my profile picture, then yes.
It's 3 midnight and I'm laughing my ass of everytime the bat-bonk sound effect plays.
I have been having just as frustratingly bad luck as you - I'm so glad to see it's not just me
I finally decided to come over here after watching a couple Thusmas', and I'm really loving the editing snd commentary.
You want the videos to be special?
Dude, they really are, you're making all the stupid/smart decisions all of us are wondering about, thanks!!!!
In Downpour II, there will be a room with a mirror on the side of a wall. In another part of the map, there will be an inextinguishable white fire. Coming into contact with the fire will turn the character into The Lost. After turning into the lost, walking into the mirror will grant access to the mirrored world.
"these running sprinters"
butts-2021
Hutts to go through that mirror you need to walk into that white fire you saw, when you want into that white fire you turn into a ghost. When you walk through the mirror the whole map inverts and you also get more item rooms
"has everybody been having as bad of luck as me?" yes hutts.... yes i have
Hutts, to use the mirror on Downpour II do the following:
1. Take damage from a WHITE FIRE on Downpour to turn into a 'Lost'
2. Enter the Mirror World
3. Fight your way to the item room in the Mirror World
4. Obtain Knife Piece 1
Fin
You have to touch the white fire, which turns you into the lost and then enter the mirror to go find the knife piece
He knows, this video was recorded a while back
On the floor with the white fire, walk into it. It turns u temporarily into the lost and then u can walk through the mirror. Then u have to travel to the item room as the lost to get the knife piece. The second knife piece is in the mines. There is a mine that leads you through a door and then it’s a puzzle with a scary dude chasing you to get out.
13:54 - You don't actually need soul hearts anymore. You can use red health as well. It's just 2 hearts sacrificed
Hutts there was a white fire at 8:27 not spoiling what to do but it’s apart of the mirror thing
I love how this vid he doesn't even know how to use the mirrors but on stream he already has B-Side stuff
I hope your channel blows up like crazy I honestly think you get such little views for the amount of amazing content that you post.
Ed is developing an aneurysm from laughing too hard. XD
Managed to get Bethany yesterday with a crazy lucky run. Like, Cricket's Head was just sitting in a corner on floor 1 and 20/20 was what replaced a Number One at one point. It was crazy.
Ed changed how fire rate displays, instead of the level before, now it shows how many tears you shoot per second. I honestly prefer the old style tho
It was probably changed to the new style because now the fire rate can now be lower than 1 apparently.
Tear Rate can go far beyond what Soy Milk gives you. I've reached as high as 40.00 so far through items that are spoiler-ish.
To get first knife piece: in downpour you find a white fire then walk into it you will turn into the lost and then walk into the mirror.but to get the second knife piece you find and press all three yellow buttons in the mines then find the room with a minecart and ride it and solve the puzzles and run out quickly
Tip: in downpour there is a white fire, walk into it and then walk into the mirror
Im not giving any spoilers on what happens if you do
He has already beat the 2 final boss lol
This was his second game. He knows the final bosses now
Ok, i know that he already knows them now, but i left this comment here for the players that don't know
6:15 "let's break the mirror!"
*mirror breaks
Wow, didn't expect that
i was watchin this and playing isaac at the same time and at 18:56 when he says "holy shit" i got hallowed ground the literal holy shit
Hell yeah
I just want to say, remember the witness in antibirth? That giant room? Guess what the new witness gives you a TINY AS HECK ROOM, ALSO NO 4 CHESTS WITH ITEMS
the mirror is used to get the first knife piece. its that white fire that you can walk trough. after you have walked trough it you become the lost and you can walk in the mirror.
Ed: Show off the new pills.
Hutts: Sounds kinda *dangerous* but I hope things work.
*Things don't work
If you listen really carefully, you can hear Ed laughing in the background at the pain and misery
Stitchis dose damage when teletporting over enemies and you get invesbility frames witch can be used to get into curse rooms
Did you edit in the bonk sounds on taking damage since mods are currently disabled? Now that's dedication!
8:27 They changed how you get into the mirror now, that flame right there you walk into to become like the lost and then you can enter the mirror apparently, I haven't tried yet because I only read it while I was at work so haven't had a chance, but that's what has been said about how to get in.
I hope the editor knows that the bonk edits throughout the video and in the outro are majorly appreciated.
I discovered how to get through the mirror when I wasn't paying attention and walked straight into the fire in the middle of the room. The death sound scared the shit outta me though.
Overall, it was pretty poggers
It feels like Ed takes away a lot of fun stuff with every update
The temperance machine were removed from greed mode
You can't pick up devil deal items if they would kill you even if you would get health back from them
You can't play two temperance machines at once anymore
Curse and angle rooms suck
What did I miss ^^?
What comes next?
D100, D4 and other full reroll items have been nerfed by not bringing over transformations meaning there is really no reason to use them unless your run is complete shit.
I had missing no and it fucked me over twice on delirium because it gave me curse of the eye lol.
@@HarroKitteh on damn that sou ds horrible o.O
I am not a game designer but I don't like nerfing things
I think it's better to buff everything else so that every item is kinda useful
Otherwise you have to choose between two items that are both shit
But if every item is good you are like "oh take I this item which always has been good or do I take the other item that has been buffed and is also really good right now?"
That would at least be FUN
how are angle rooms terrible now
they're nearly guaranteed items, and they're pretty nice items now too (granted buffs happened)
1:18 Assuming Stitches has not been changed past giving you full control of his movement, you can swap with Stitches while he's on top of an enemy to insta-kill them.
I think there is also a short span of i-frames, and because of that you can damage even the bosses!
A quick tip for the mausoleum! You don't actually need 2 Soul/Black hearts to access it! You can also open the door with two regular red hearts :)
15:45 the fact he didn’t take the robes ruined my whole day, and it’s only 7:am
Stitches is a lot more useful than Hutts gave it credit for in this video. It gives you i-frames when you teleport, and teleporting on top of enemies telefrags them for massive damage. The i-frames let you enter curse rooms for free, too
Shops aren't reverted back to level one, Hutts! On hard mode only, shops have a random chance to be a lower level. Thanks for the content.
28:51 Whew, good thing you stopped those Nazis before they could finish their ritual of summoning Isaacs father Hitler back from the dead!
25:00
Nah.
You need to step into the eternal flame thing to become a ghost and go into the mirror dimension.
Dunce cap probably has spectral because otherwise you straight up wouldn't be able to complete some rooms
Dunce by itself is horrible, you have to have other items to make it good
hutts don't blow up the mirrors, you can run into the white fire, become a character like the lost, go into the mirror which is a mirrored floor of your current one then you can get a knife piece from the item room
The knife piece is in the mirrored treasure room.
the mirror works like this:
the white fire you find on downpour 2 turns you into the lost (with the holy mantle) and then you can enter the mirror (if its not destroyed)
Hutts PLEASE for the love of everything, try to get b-side Judas as soon as possible. He looks super fucking fun
hutts hard mode has been revorked into actually hard like most enemies shot speed has increased
