I couldn't agree more Robert. I must also say that having a responsible and a great teacher made my views similar to yours. Most of my clients are also artists, intelligent people and I notice they often carry similar aspects to mine, or they come to me when and activate my certain transits. It's an amazing connection and a sacred one really. Role of student and teacher is always activated, no matter if I'm astrologer and he/she is client and vice-versa. And since we're all unique individuals, every chart is an experiment.

Saturn in the 7th house squares my Sun/South Node conjunction exact. And Pluto squares my Sun/South Node by 4 degrees. Agree with almost everything :) I am an astrologer and I work with astrology just like you said from the very begginning, from a evolutionary and transpersonal perspective, a psycho/spiritual way trying to bring people to just "think" about what they are living and don't expect others to tell them their "fate"...unfortunately people aren't really into that, they might think they are at the end I still do get the same kind of questions and it is such an awful conclusion... I have less and less clients because when I tell them that I don't do predictions they don't come. I try to change people's look at astrology and it is a very hardous work to do...
I’m sorry but I think the reason for your success is quite simple. You have the looks of a very “old” wise man and it reminds people of movies like the Lord of the rings. Also your voice is warm, soft and you speak wisely with compassion. People are withdrawn to you, because of that whole package. Your energy. Sometimes it’s not that complicated but plain simple.

This has confused me. My twins were born only 1 min apart because of an emergency caesarian, after natural start to the birth. But it depends on if their birth times were written down correctly. BEcause i was under anaesthetic, I have no idea. They are complete opposites even down to one having dark hair and olive skin and being very neat and studious and the other blonde, pale skin, artistic and disorganised.
Astrologers very rarely "pronounce doom on people".... Most "starving" astrologers are not at all going around preaching gloomy prescriptive prophecies, but rather, are astute, gifted and giving souls. Off the mark to suggest that lack of success is due to such dunderheaded approaches. In fact, it's much more often due to lack of business sense.
