When you have that entrepreneurial fiber, you get to connect on a different level with another that shares a passion. Makers, developers, business owners, all share one thing that you have too Chris, you want to touch people with your art, with what makes you tick. Some take a life time to try to figure out what they want to do with their lives, some never find it and some show you the way by sharing like you do, a glimpse inside, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Chris for this story. It goes to show we can find inspiration in different places and different people other than in the wood community.

Chris brother you are my inspiration. Your positive vibe rubs off on me then off the couch I go and do something in the shed. Currently working on a power tool holder with charger and Battery’s.
Having worked in sales all my life prior to my mental health getting the better of me I learnt a thing or two about pricing. Eg being if you lower your profit margin therefore hitting more of your customers price range not only will you sell more stock (although I know your not about how many or ego) but you will naturally bank more dollars(If only I could send you the spread sheet) you will also make more profit by selling three to four times more.
I hope that makes sense the way I explained it.

Thanks for sharing Chris, We all have these moments which inadvertently inspire our subconsciousness and later in life we remember if their could do it then so can I. You too one day soon will soon be that same guy, who made one amazing product, which everyone when asked said "wow its amazing" and it becomes that phrase " I would be it out one in my workshop" Keep up the good work Buddy.

Chris, my wife is an artist. She doesn't sell anymore but when she did, she sold her work for what many told her was too low. She wanted people to get a quality painting at pricing that everyone could afford. The lower price tag made it accessible to far more buyers.

We know the price of materials and equipment used to make projects. The most difficult thing to calculate when selling items is the price of your time and the price of the skill you posses to make that item. Don't sell yourself short on the intangibles when selling the items you have created. That right there is always the hardest thing to do.

You've got a great thing going, Chris, but just like Mathew, don't get caught up in the excitement of your latest product. To stay successful, you've got to think ahead. Like a play-caller in football. Once you've made the call, you're thinking about the next play to call, not watching the play you just called.
You need to read The E Myth.

I hate to say, but with the success you had, i bet someone will copy it and mass produce at a cheaper price. I think your price is reasonable given your time and material, but imagine your holder being molded plastic.
But you are creative and will come up with something else to stay ahead of the mass.
