Very strong eaglets at this age. I'm almost fearful of their curiosity and strength to move around at such a small size. So close to the edge D27 could get knocked out of the nest if Dads not super careful. I heard a week or so ago on a FB group an eaglet was accidentally thrown from the nest because it was up and out of place. Too small and was undetected by the adult who was leaving the nest and somehow got caught up and lifted out of the nest. Uncertain which nest. I couldn't watch the footage. So sad.😞
Focusing on fretting about low probability, high negative consequence "what-ifs" rather than living in the moment to enjoy all the fascinating, wonderful things live nest cams show us is simply a recipe for turning nest watching into a misery rather than a joy.
prairiefirewind I'm not focusing on anything, just speaking my thoughts. I thought that's what comments were for? If I didn't find the joy in it I wouldn't watch at all.
Hello world, I know we look cute and cuddly now but just you wait bout 3-4 months we will start to look like the awesome Apex Predators we are that will rule the skies above and land below. That's what Mom & Dad told us when we were nodding off last night after a big meal of somethin, don't know what it was but it sure was good! hehehe
There is no way to know for an absolute certainty but most likely Dad knows where D27 is. He would feel any movement against his feathers and be able to hear any rustling of nesting materials when D27 would move a little.
