🎉your danceable install tune was so brilliantly engineered, in timing with chain ring-a'dings, me @ 75 sun revolutions, got dance crazy while prep'n supper tonight..You fun..& your Beta- Bay gets my wholehearted vote for the cutest color combo of any builds I've seen..Baby Blue & fire engine blazing red.. I hesitate making any tweaking suggestion, yet venture to respectfully..so important to sound deaden that bay...your long running periods aren't as likely to drive you to insanity .
Been binge watching since discovering your channel; weekend woodworker on our small old farm but seem to be attracted to a few very interesting boat builds here on TH-cam. Looks great...cheers...rr Normandy, Fra.
Yes, that dinghy is gorgeous, but, that engine, holy smokes, it’s a thing of beauty too!! I’m like you were now, wrecked my elbow, had surgery and am now laid up, damnit all to hell!!!
Yeah the engine looks soooo nice hey! Oh no.. it’s a long road ahead but stay positive and listen to your physio! I found a physio that was fun and had a good sense of humour which really helped motivate me for exercises
I like your enhancements to the GA Boats design for the seats. I’m looking to build a sailing version of this same boat, so I think some added side seats might be nice as well with a copy of your brackets.
I discovered your channel a week ago and have spent far too much time binge watching to being myself up to date while avoiding doing my own work. Great project and you make a really good team.😀👍⛵️
It seems a very compact engine for 60 hp. Should make for a nice tidy engine room without taking up too much of the boat. The tender looks really nice on the water. All coming along nicely.

Hi jillian, thank you so much for our thoughtful and poetic response to our video. I really enjoyed your haiku. It's actually really nice and romantic. I will cherish it. We would love to visit Hawaii and meet you one day. You can get a ticket for the dinghy on our website. There is a website link in the previous video. Thank you so much for watching our video and for leaving such a kind and lovely comment. We appreciate it so much
I had a bit of a giggle at the worry if the supports would hold. Napkin math here but your 2x4 vertical bracing would have a failure rate @ ~5000-6000 lbs easy. Plenty for a little engine.
The blue bilge really neat and wonderful! The drip pan makes a lot of sense, and great job belaying the engine into its position The dinghy looks great ,just wondering what it weighs? Thanks for the update
A emportant thing in an engine bay is allow enough room to be able to service and fix if anything should happen in future I see far too many engines bays cramped as they do get hot and cold and they sweat
Most common engine complaint: Not enough room or access to service parts, find dropped tools or parts. Next would be heat, noise, lighting. Third wou,d be bilge spill clean-up.
Like you have stated and demonstrated on several previous decisions, compromises are made based on manufacturer's guidelines, personal preferences and usage, overall/surrounding space available, priorities, cost/risk evaluation. This too will be no different. Really enjoying this build and the thought decision making process.

Don't forget to leave enough room for insulation around the engine. Lighting is very important, too.
room for sound insulation is very important and do not give in but use space. You will enjoy that later.
Succes and we respect yr project.
The dinghy is a thing of beauty !!

Beautiful camerawork, sound and editing. The video and the dinghy are indeed both works of art.
Oh thanks that’s really nice of you. We will try and keep it up!
The dingy is like angle hair on water. Truly a beautiful piece of art.
Oh and it’s a beauty to row!
Wow all this eye candy 😍 is great inspiration and motivation. Cheap and cheerful solution for keeping the motor spotless is to wrap it in glad wrap 🙋

Oh that’s what we like to hear! Nothing like a good binge watch after discovering a new channel! Cheers
Lots of heat and noise, do it right, it can save your lives. I love watching your channel. New Zealand is so far away.
Perfectly calming look at beautiful things being made and used. Thanks for letting me watch.
Great to hear! Your always welcome
I love everything about this video! The dinghy is easily the prettiest rowboat I've ever seen!
Thankyou!!!
Nice one.. better hurry up, the warranty clock started at the date of invoice.. 🙂
Hahaha oh no! Ticking clock

Thanks Tim, it certainly is a compact 60hp! Super nice though
Now remember the prop faces forward!!!
Great to see the shoulder's up for a spot of rowing! Beautiful dinghy too 😊
Hah yes good exercise
Beautiful work!!
Thank you very much for your response! We're so happy to hear from everyone. Thanks for following along!
you may need to leave room in the engine compartment for additional engine components like dieselfilters and such.. nice step, those 60 red horsies! 👍
Yep! Accounted for (sort of) haha
Nice one guys. Looking good
the dinghy seems quite stable. It's beautiful
Yes surprisingly stable!!

Well done
and ventilation. If one day you want to place a second alternator 24V you will need more space around the engine.
Yes true! We will have good ventilation
I had a bit of a giggle at the worry if the supports would hold. Napkin math here but your 2x4 vertical bracing would have a failure rate @ ~5000-6000 lbs easy. Plenty for a little engine.
Sixty horsies? Awrighty.
What a pretty engine! What a proud little boat!
Indeed!
Oh to be young and flexible!!!
Yes we're lucky although we're feeling it more and more!
The blue bilge really neat and wonderful! The drip pan makes a lot of sense, and great job belaying the engine into its position
The dinghy looks great ,just wondering what it weighs? Thanks for the update
Thankyou! Oh we haven’t put the dinghy on the scales yet but it can certainly be lifted and moved around by one person
A emportant thing in an engine bay is allow enough room to be able to service and fix if anything should happen in future I see far too many engines bays cramped as they do get hot and cold and they sweat
Yeah we are trying to be really good on access, engines do get forgotten about on a sailing boat. Rather unfortunate
Most common engine complaint: Not enough room or access to service parts, find dropped tools or parts. Next would be heat, noise, lighting. Third wou,d be bilge spill clean-up.
Yes we have heard all those complaints a few times. A good reminder! Cheers

60 ponies are better than one. That is a beautiful skiff. Are you planing to use this your yacht dory?
Oh no that dinghy we have built to help raise some funds for Tarkine, check out our previous video for more info!
And I subscribed...
Thank you Rick! Happy to have you on board!
Gee I thought you where going to have a bicycle with chain to prop shalf where you sit on seat and peddle ha ha yea right
Hahah oh yeah imagine the leg muscles!!
that dinghy is like a newborn chick being released into its first swim
Haha poetic!
Yanmar is a marine engine. A marinized Kubota is still just a tractor engine.
may you never need to remove all those horses.
