This is a great tool, especially if you only drink tea that isn't in bags (eg. Homemade tea)
I would use metal sieve-like teabags before switching to gaiwans. It just turns tea into a hobby and a small ritual to relax to.

you can buy tea bags that you can put your own tea in. you can also buy a thing called a tea ball, which is like this thing but cheaper and not drop-shipped
