My buddy has a 1951 Farmall "Super C" we restored after a barn fire. Looks & runs like new now.

A man my Uncle worked for had a farmall don't know the size but he was loaded, Wealthy family I mean. In Dartmouth N.H. When he bought that Farmall he got every possible attachement made to go on it for his farm including a super duty brush mower with a blade. We know them now as weed wackers. And like the French he took care of it so it was cherry even then. When I saw it was 1984. I don't know what year that model was, but it was the only one i have ever seen in person.

I'm a tad surprised. In French, the usual word order is that adjectives follow nouns, i.e., "Le Cub Super." Ah well, A chacun son gout!

One more item that was not mentioned is that the muffler was mounted to the bottom. The two Cubs we owned had their muffler on the top of the hood. 🇺🇸

All tractors from over seas seem to have more horsepower than the same tractor built in america. I have both a french french A and an American A and guessing the french A is around 10 hp more. I always thought it was the tolerances but both tractors are pretty dang close on tolerances. But the french A runs the solex carb and the intake runners are actually bigger around and a little longer. I'm guess countries with no regulations built better stuff even if it had an American name on it. You get government and regulatory bodies involved and you end up with the junk we have in America today like John Deere with their $10,000 exhaust filter on a tractor that costs half a million and steers by wire that no one can work on including the dealer biggest reason we are deciding to sell our 2 John Deere 8430 tractors and going back to the Cummins powered Steiger panthers big basic bare bone easy and cheap to work on tractors.

what i wish is for a manufacturer to bring tractors like this out again, for a small farm, its the most versatile tractor i have ever seen, and for the right price

    • @mrbrown3462

@@bbruce995 Thank your government you'll never see a simple easy to work on tractor like the cub, If someone was to build one today it would be fuel injected electronic ignition and choked to hell with emission bullcrap and cost 30,000 bucks out of reach of the homesteader small time farmer, The cub if built today with the same castings same gas engine same sheet metal could very well be a top seller under $10,000 tractor but never would happen today because like everything else government must have their hands in everything and it would be a piece of crap with emiisions and rops and cabs it would no longer be a little simple tractor for the working man. The cubs were nice because they came in both high boy and low boy, the high boy being a garden/crop tractor with cultivision cultivators and many had the 2 way moldbord plows and a snowplow that went on the front or placed under the center and used as a grader blade. The cub low boy was mostly a lawn machine with either a belly mower or pulling a gang mower.

I got a Fordson Dexta 59 model and I'm pretty sure it was made in England. But long story short you can almost take it apart with a half inch wrench. I guess it would depend on which country the tractor would be sent to.
