The passenger is the most critical part of the outfit. You have to have 100% trust. Looks like he was learning the ropes and missed. It happens.
Oh also the passenger just knows by instinct in the end and puts hands and even invents different ways to position themselves. You do tend to work very close at time. Better the passenger the quicker you go.
