We would recommend any Royal Enfield from our lineup for the affordability and classic styling, the Continental GT or Himalayan 450 included, but we are biased. 😃 Great video!
In my case, my wife's criteria would be comfortable for a passenger, good power, affordable, and good handling in that order. My 2005 and 2013 Multistradas I used to own were her favorite. Multis enjoy massive depreciation.
All right Tommy, bike choices are great, have fun with it. First and foremost, both you and Morgan should come and take a lesson from me. Even if she has no plans to ride a bike. The knowledge of knowing how, always makes for a better passenger when riding two up. The YZ250 would not be your friend! But a XR100 would make both of you giggle with rider joy. Getting dirty is always the best way to start a riding adventure! You know I have been hounding you since TFLbike started with Alex and Kase. Track is groomed and the bikes are ready. I need to also let you know, Kase has been one of my biggest customers when it comes to my school. We have had ride parties with his friends and roommates. The best time I just had was having his mom and dad out to the ranch. His dad just had a blast! Great fun makes for a fantastic learning experience! You will wish you had done it sooner.
9:57 Well done kase. I saw that look on your face when he said that. Besides your more like brothers so that’s what he means. I got you tommy. I understand Buddy.
Great to see Kase and Tommy back together, I've missed you guys on the Classic channel. You always have such great banter (and bickering 😄)! The Royal Enfield would be my pick, fine classic design!
Too many factors to consider before even picking a bike. Does she really want you to have one? Does she want to have one? Does she want you to have a bike she can be the passenger on? IF so, how far of a ride does she want to take? IF you can fill in those blanks first, then you can start to consider what bike is right for the garage. For that matter, perhaps she would only like the bike if it was a garage queen. Vs a daily rider. And you can apply this same fundamental thought process to anything between spouses. Communications start between 2 people before going to the next phase of picking a product at all.
Sport touring!! It’s how I got my wife into riding!! I had the original Kawasaki Concours 1000. That was a semi comfortable bike for the passenger, but she is small & she loved it!! Then we upped to the Concours 1400. THAT she loved & actually misses it!! Now I bought her and I a very comfortable TRIKE!! I have 2 Can Ams. One is single seat, but can be 2. The Ryker Rally. She isn’t keen on it. Her trike, as she puts it, is the Can Am Spyder R/T Limited!! It’s as comfortable as a Harley Tri Glide, maybe even better like the Goldwing!! She has the full back rest, the heated seat & backrest, she has boards for her feet vs pegs, she has swinging arm rests so sone feels like she is in a cockpit of her own!! She LOVES cruising on that thing. We have been riding since the early 80s and her mindset hasn’t changed. She still threatens to go get another Concours 1400 so she can feel the corners so much better. She loved hunkering down and carving the roads. Still does at 64 years old. I had a bout with MS that has affected my balance just enough I won’t ride on 2 wheels anymore. She has accepted that and is why she love the Spyder R/T. She had looked at other Spyders with less cockpit for the passenger and more openness like the Spyder F3-S. she sits on one every time we go to the shop!! We have done ok in life so I fully expect an early birthday present,,,,. The first 25 F3-S the shop was to get was supposed to be ours to have first right of refusal on, but the dealer said he sold it to another customer he values more “respectfully”. She wasn’t angry with that,,,,,😮😮😊😊. Hope I’m right otherwise the dealer likes someone more than us!!, 😂😂😂. I tried to be “cool” and ride the Tri-Glide, but that thing wallows and sucks in general to ride other than down straight highway, but even then wind upsets it a bit more than I like. I rode a friend’s RT and it was completely different l the reverse delta design is hugely different and more fun!! Yesterday it does have a slight snowmobile feel, gut have you ever been out snow sledding??? Those things are a RIOT!! The Spyders are so much better handling!! The Ryker is definitely different, but it’s pretty decent in gravel roads and even 2 track. I modified the suspension to a more cushy Fox system just because off-road the rear tire doesn’t have a track for itself until you & your friends ride one in and that can be pretty rough. Don’t let Kase poo-poo you out of a Spyder Trike!! Quirky, comfortable, fun, & safe!! If it doesn’t have heated seats when you get it, they are easy to retrofit or just buy an aftermarket set up!! Kkkaassee,,,, 😮😮😮😮. Hahaha. Fun video fellas!! Kase sh*t the bed on THOSE picks unfortunately. 😂😂.
Here's an 'outside the box' suggestion - The Kymco AK550 maxi-scooter. Comfortable for two, practical like no motorcycle ever could be and fast enough to not be boring. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with any of the Royal Enfield 650 cc twins - The INT 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650, INT Bear 650 and even the upcoming Himalayan 650(or is it 750?🤔).
If it was me I would get either a RE Himalayan , CF Moto Ibex 450, BMW G310 GS, Kawasaki KLX 300 and Eliminator, or a Husqvarna Svartpilen.... Also Triumph Scrambler 400X!
Thanks for the verbiage Mr❤️🔥 - yes HD's especially the bigger more flagship if you will have heated seats. Could also easily modify them. My last HD has reverse & lowering etc etc bc 1 of my bfs built that in. As for what kind of bike for Tommy, I mean his wife. I mean Tommy. A Voyager Suzuki Burgman! A Trike, plus has that Zesty appeal of a well known 1983 movie 😂, bet it comes standard with Pocket protectors! Idk maybe Morgan would appreciate a Da Vini DC100! Self leveling, actually looks cool in an odd sort of way. Or for the Both of you. I bought Mr Big a 247hp Fiabusa original Fiat 500 w/a Hayabusa engine even retaining it's sequential transmission. Rag slide roof. Thing was mean, but fun. & if ever at a drive in. You're good & close. Ya know for the D&D or travel yatzee you brought along. 😂 Still fun to watch, even w/o Alex. Bc I mean yeah. That smile 👌 - but why force someone to do something they don't want to do. There's a Horology Club in Boulder, do that together. Bring your Swatch, no doubt someone will like it.

Triumph speed 400 or scrambler 400. Looks good, cheap, and fun to ride.
y'all overlooked the most obvious choice when talking about approachability, and potentially teaching her to ride (when discussing the Eliminator) and that's the TW200.
I think past videos would have taught us that Tommy would or should give up the idea of thinking he knows how a woman (specifically his wife) thinks - I already know he’s wrong

It's pretty clear that Tommy does not like motorcycles. He's not into the lifestyle. He keeps talking about how she wants him to look dorky because he's a dork but maybe if he got himself a nice Indian scout or something along those lines and actually leaned into the lifestyle a little bit she wouldn't think of him as a dork anymore.
Case has a tatted up girlfriend... All he needs to do is run to Vegas, get hitched, and see. I think that Case can sell her on getting a bike easier than Tommy would ever have.

I agree with Andy! This is Kase’s dad and I speak from experience. Learn to ride with Andy on the track, not only a blast but hugely informative.

Remember that some dealers will not let you take a 2-up test ride, even if she has a major say-so on the $35-$50K+ touring bike.
Hey Tommy, what about a low powered dirt bike to idle around Tumble Weed Ranch. 125 cc dirt bike. The tyres will grip better than the Monkeys.

No such thing as a motorcycle your wife wants you to buy, only certain bikes that cause her a bit less anxiety than others.

Any of the RE’s would be great. Or the triumph 400. Wives tend to be more tolerant of retro/vintage stuff. IMHO.
Case will TFL be at AIM Expo next week?

You don’t need to ask your wife anything just go get what you want. Never put your lady on bike
z125? Really? the Grom has such a massive aftermarket. All maintenance will be equally cheap.
Partner? Like a business partner? Did you mean wife or girl friend? 😂
I think you know what is meant by "partner".
Literally get an R1200gs or 1150gs. KTM 990, XSR YAMMY
Why you guys don't try scooters ?
Grom is the only answer
Partner? Sounds DEI
