Outstanding Video! You have made me rethink my view of the "Home Guard", I too grew up with "Dad's Army" on the telly. I love all the stuff you are showing us on your channel and am already planning a wee visit to see some of this for myself, once it warms up a tad 🙂
Yep Dads Army shows the fun side of these guys antics but the reality was pretty brutal as they would not have surrendered and stopped fighting, mass respect for those boys,
East Lothian is deft worth a visit! 👍😁

I have done the stop line in Fife and surrounding area you should do that. There are loads of pill boxes and remnants of gun emplacements, dragon's teeth tank traps etc.. They used the railway embankment as the defence line so at every bridge or tunnel their's evidence of MOD works. There is also a northern stop line which has a lot of buildings and structures if you know where to look, brilliant!
