That looked so beautiful but the brand locations terrify me. You can imagine some shady guy in a long tench coat with sunglasses coming from around the corner to you saying "Hey girls, wanna buy some brand?" and then opening his coat to reveal a bunch of replica's and illegal burnado hanging off the lining.
When Throw it in the Bag (basically the Deerstalker's theme) started playing I kinda had a moment of nostalgia. I have to admit I had that as my ringtone for quite a while.
When I went to Paris in 2012 I went to the Brand shops there. The Baby store was on a major road and had a really nice front. The AP store (which I don't know is still around, I heard it was going out of business) was down an Ally way and was a little harder to find. It shared an address (Street number) with another store next to it. The street it was on had a weird combination of Anime stores, Gothic/ punk clothing stores and Women's clothing. There also was a school at the end of the street and the shop would close for an hour when the school let out.
Most of the shops are in big department stores like Laforet or Marui Annex, but the majority of stand-alone stores and second hand stores were all in strange places!
i don't know how super safe it is going into one of these building. Dude.. it's japan XD they don't even rob each other. they can even run a shop and not attend it. then comeback without anything be stolen and find money left in a little box on what people have bought while away from the shop XD.
I loved this vlog so much but as soon as I saw the Mega Tokyo Pokémon Center, I freaked out! You are all literally living my dream, lolita and Pokémon together... *sigh* I'm so excited for your next video!
Deerstalker Pictures 2 Wow! What did you think of the Pokémon Café? I know the Pokémon artwork there is meant to be lovely :3 Now I really can't wait to see your next video haha!
SpringPhoenix It was really cute, when you order a soda they bring a remote which has a picture of the vending machine from pokemon, they ask you to press it and it makes the noise when you buy it.. Did you watch our Mysterious Sisters trailer on our other channel?
Deerstalker Pictures 2 That sounds like such an amazing experience, I love how the Pokemon company love to include all of those extra little details, even the coasters there are adorable and incredibly pretty! I'm sure you had the most magical time in Japan! :D And yes! Yes I did! I'm so excited for it, you're mixing two of my favorite things together! I love Sylveon (the unofficial lolita pokemon XD) and I love Chandelure, who's just so elegantly Gothic it's just indescribable!
THE NOSTALGIA 0_0 Unfortunately, I was still a lolita neewb when I went to Japan the first time, so the only store I visited was bodyline. Oh well, it could have been worse. But I'm going back this summer and I'm really looking forward to doing some REAL lolita shopping on Harajuku this time! Did you guy have any problems with communication while shopping or do you speak japanese?
I was a terrible ita the first time I went too! Communication was pretty decent, I have some ok vocabulary but no grammar, so a mixture of Japanese, English and gesturing seemed to work alright. I did have a cute conversation with the FINT shopgirl regarding a tartan skirt (which she talked me into buying), having too many blouses, AP ("Pretty-san!") and Jane Marple ("Jane-sama!").
Mademoiselle Kawaii We have a few more parts left to release! After that we're hoping to go back soon and shoot an actual in-depth video about the whole shopping experience, so there'll be plenty more to see :)
Awww I want to live in Japan sooo bad >< Luckily, in a few years we're visiting. Can you suggest some Lolita clothing stores and/or harajuku shops? Thx ^^
There is an Alice in Wonderland RESTAURANT in Tokyo that you all would really love. You should try to go if time permits ;) The huge decor and Alice themed meals are adorable and so authentic!
Tsuki570 Ah yes, there are a few we heard about, however the Tokyo lolitas said the food wasn't that great D; We did go to Alice on Wednesday retail shop in Osaka though, very cutely decorated.
My one and only time in Japan I was also shocked to find out there were no pictures allowed in any of the shops and all the brand stores in harajuku were in the basement of a mall. Also addresses in Japan are numbered by how old the building is not actual numerical order. Thank godness for my lovely guide Narita. I did as well drop about $300 on a full AATP outfit. I regret nothing!
Nicole Oliva Yeah it's a shame we weren't allowed to shoot inside, perhaps we'll go back one day and arrange something special. It seems silly though, free advertising for your business? The addresses are quite confusing but we just googlemaps'd everything beforehand! Nice one :)
Wow! You guys got to go to the Q-Q-Pot cafe! When I visited the Q-Pot store the line at the cafe next door was gigantic and I didn't get a chance to try it. Would you recommend me trying again the next time I'm in omotesando? I got SO much Q-Pot on my trip at that store and also at every Isetan I could find. Each store has limited edition products only sold at those locations. ❤️
Tsuki570 I didn't buy enough QPOT stuff! My plan was to get a biscuit related thing but I didn't see any ones I wanted specifically... I would definitely recommend going to the cafe though, we were lucky there was no line when we went in! The desserts are good (though expensive for japanese prices, quite reasonable for Australian priced) and the place is really cute.
*O* That soo awesome. I know if I go to harakuju one day I'll totally freak out, buying lolita clothes in a real store, wow. The cat cafe is so cute, and I loved the cheese shaped cheesecake. Also, where I can download this music?
Karoline Yuuki Most of it is by Incompetech and AudioNautix! The Throw it in the Bag remix is by Koolfox aka The Living Tombstone, so you might be able to find a link through his page?
okonimeyaki? I wish we had that here, got plety of hibachi and sushi but no okonimeyaki, or raman for that matter, but it was served once at a wine bar and I enjoyed it it was quite differant then udon I have had.
Melissa Boyd The shopping experience is really lovely in Japan - you are greeted when you walk into the shop, the shopgirl will usually tell you the special promotions, and if they're really attentive they'll ask if you want to try on whatever it is you're looking at. After you buy, they pack everything nicely and walk you out the shop, bow low and hand you your items. This specific shop did not greet us when we came in or pay any attention to us. When we were trying to get their help to try something on we were ignored for a while as they were busy gossiping with a friend, then told a terse "no" and that was it. We didn't know there was no change room, but it was all just very rude compared to other shops! We were about to drop a couple hundred thousand yen but because of that treatment we left.
Can some tell me the Name/Brand/Online shop were I can buy that dress in the end? It's soo pretty! I want to wear it on Christmas or some other time, if looks nice.

i know there was no way for you lovely people to know back in the day, but i'm watching this and knowing now about how some cat cafes drug their kitties, i keep wondering if they're drugged up :(
A.P.C. Lolita Throw it in the Bag and the remix is oldschool Deerstalker, before we even started calling ourselves Deerstalker. It's hard to believe that that was almost four years ago!
Yaaay! This is super helpful for planning trips and shopping spots as well. The hotel you stayed in was precious!
Antoinette Souter Tokyo was actually really tame compared to some of the places that we went to in Osaka. That's going to be a whole other video D;
Deerstalker Pictures 2
AH! Oh dear, I am looking forward to it! The main thing is your safe and have some tales to tell~
that would be a nightmare
When Throw it in the Bag (basically the Deerstalker's theme) started playing I kinda had a moment of nostalgia. I have to admit I had that as my ringtone for quite a while.
Glad to hear! Seems like some other people on this channel are too young to have heard it...
A REMIX OF THROW IT IN THE BAG!!!! I NEVER KNEW A REMIX OF IT EXISTED
Thank you for taking us along on your trip! It looks like y'all had a fantastic holiday! Can't wait to see part two!

The last cat in the Cats Cafe summed up my face when you didn't film the inside of the brand shops.. ;; A ;;
CottonButterflies They don't let you film or take any photos! :(

So what exactly is the story behind the mean shop girls you guys mentioned? I'm curious!
