- In this episode of Joy Machine, Nika takes her relatively new Royal Enfield Continental GT650 motorcycle on her first camping trip. Along for the ride of course is the Harley Davidson and good spirits as they head off to the scenic Feathers of Washington for an overnight stay. In the morning, they get breakfast and swim at Rattlesnake Cove.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Hopefully we can make some longer ones when we go on longer trips in the future. Fire burn in effect for most of the summer here unfortunately, but hopefully we can have fires again soon!

The Royal Enfield is a cool classic retro bike, absolutely timeless. `I am speechless you can just camp without tent, such a good weather though. By the way we are back from Spain, the Sierra Nevada mountains. Great riding there with fantastic weather... working some footage now...!

Another very cool trip- thanks for taking us along! I hope Nika likes her Bell bullitt! I originally had the clear bubble shield that came with the helmet, but I like the smoked flat one a lot more I got as a replacement.
The Harley sounds amazing as always, sir. I am just another voice out here applauding your using the bike you got and making it work for you... but I do mean it. Simple is better. I have a screenshot of the tarp off your bike in episode 1 as one of my favorite bike camping pics. Inspiration for me. I love simple camps off my sportster. I actually like that a lot better than the hotels using the big baggers we did for years. Now that I ride alone these days I just keep it simple. You both are very lucky to enjoy it all together.
Nika loves the new helmet and she also already ordered a flat smoke shield, hopefully have it in the next week or two! Very cool that you are enjoying some simple camping on your bike as well. We are so glad that you enjoy the vids and we will keep them coming.
@@joymachinetheshow that's great to hear, Calen! Appreciate that update. It's been a few years and actually just got on the Bell website last week and ordered new cheek pads and a new liner for mine. Sorta like a refresh for it. Pretty inexpensive, I was was shocked.

Great Trip. Nice bike Danika has to ride; you both cruised along together well; taking the video of each other riding. Beautiful camping spot you and Danika went to. You certainly have lots of areas to chose from. Love the canyon scenery; sunset and sunrise. Danika looked very cozy and comfortable in your grandfather's army sleeping bag. Great looking breakfast; made me hungry. Nice swimming spot. How chilly was the water? Super Episode.

@@joymachinetheshow A few years ago on Jan 1st I did a polar dip in the waters between Cape Breton and Mainland Nova Scotia. Think the air temperature was around freezing and the water temp was probably around a couple degrees about freezing. Chilly; It was a quick in; get wet; get out.
THIS IS SICKKK!!!! Awesome to watch Nika in front of the camera ripping on her Royal Enfield!!! Calen looks tough as nails riding solo and with the sickest Knucklehead Tshirt I ever seen!!! For a second I thought the OG Army sleeping bag was a duffel bag with tons of other stuff lol So bulky but perfect for this kind of missions... looks super warm and cosy so totally worth it! You guys have a great selection of equipment for all type of conditions/trips... so Rad!!!!.
The feathers looks like the "WA´s Alabama Hills" or even better I would say!!!! ... What a gorgeous sunset and views from the top!!! Holy guacamoly!!!!! Nothing like a classic breakfast of champions and soaking while in the road but that water feels really cold even on the video hahahaha You both are braves!!!!.

Both bikes are beautiful. I'm an old HD guy but I almost got a continental GT when they came out. I can't have nice new things though.

Man, you guys find such beautiful places to camp. What a fantastic sunset. Love the Enfield bike. As a New Zealander with no snakes or insects to worry about, I was freaking out when you just rolled your sleeping bags out on the ground! I had visions of rattlers or scorpions or tarantulas crawling in with you!! 😳 So that's not a problem?
The only thing we have had try to get cozy with us so far is a mouse! There are some rattlers in this area but there were enough campers and rock climbers here that we weren't concerned about them getting too close. No big spiders or scorpions thankfully. Thanks for watching!

Hahah yeah we will need to come up with a new name. Yeah it wouldn't be too hard to make it a scrambler, they also just released a new model that is a scrambler too that looks great!

Nika is 5'7, maybe 30" inseam. Agreed it fits her perfectly!

Idk about u but left knee starts to hurt after long hours of riding on my gt650.
I haven't had that yet but we haven't done a super long day yet either. Hopefully the yoga helps haha

They are pretty rare over here still, but they are available! Great bikes, so happy to have one of my own.
Nice rides, but it's not really camping, more sleeping out trips.
No tent, no camp fire, eating in restaurants.
Harley, under the leadership of a woke German, decided to discontinue entry level offerings, choosing rather to sell only high end. While woke Harley betrays their traditional customer base, Harley's traditional customers are migrating to Indian.
