What I heard was this Sheriff saying he would lobby the DA to minimize criminalizing law abiding citizens. This means that he will enforce the laws even though he does not believe in them and then lobby lenience from the DA after he has arrested you. Sir with all due respect you are the good people you discuss letting evil triumph by not doing anything. If you don't believe in the laws then don't enforce them. That's how you can do your part in order to stop evil from becoming victorious.

Does any one realise how easy it is to make a gun? We will eventually have to ban any small custom fab shops in this country. 3-D printing, CNC machining, foundries and several other technologies we can set up in our garages. Prohibition and the War on Drugs combined will pale in comparison.

All good BUT the sheriff's answer to "what are you going to do if this bill passes?" He must get it TOTALLY CLEAR in his mind that ANY enforcement of this bill (considered "law" if passed) would be in violation of his oath to defend, protect and enforce the CONSTITUTION OF THE US just as this bill would be in violation of the CONSTITUTION, i.e., "the individual's RIGHT to KEEP and BEAR arms." UNDERSTAND, any bill passed that is contrary to the US Constitution is NOT a "LAW."
