I remember when I was a teen, my family went to the Adriatic sea for vacation. We went through the moutains of Montenegro, three cars, beautiful summer.
I was with my grandfather in his car, following the two first with the rest of my family.
This song is itched in my memory because it was playing in the car while we were driving on the mountainside facing the sea and the beautiful view.
The sun was strong and the sky was clear blue. I watched my grandfather driving, with his white hair flowing with the wind, his tanned arms with white hairs, holding the wheel, his sunglasses, his beige shirt, and his smile. I will always remember that moment, so perfect.

@@francospillo2422 Finora non mi risulta che la mia storia abbia qualcosa a che fare con la città di Napoli o con il Mar Tirreno, a parte il fatto che la canzone proviene da quella città. Ci deve essere un po' di confusione qui, dato che la mia storia è semplicemente un ricordo, in cui questa canzone ha una parte. Questo particolare ricordo si svolge in Montenegro, viaggiando sulle montagne e visitando le spiagge dell'Adriatico.
Suppongo che tu sia confuso su come qualcuno dei Balcani ascolti la musica italiana. Mio nonno era un camionista e ha visitato molti paesi d'Europa, tra cui soprattutto l'Italia. Portava con sé mia nonna e sono andati molte volte nel Sud Italia e in Sicilia. Hanno riportato molti CD.

I've always liked Pink Martini, but I was listening to this, and now I'm thinking. When this pandemic is over, I want to buy a concert ticket to them and have a great night. I love their music! My Girlfriend had 2 ticket to see them but the concert was cancelled due to the corona virus, so now she is hoping she does not have to wait too long for the concert to be re-scheduled!

The XI World Aquatics Championships (FINA) in 2005 were held in Montreal, Canada. I volunteered, back then, to drive the athletes to their events. This melody - Una Notte a Napoli byPink Martini - was often played during the events. It was mesmerising. I resolved, back then, to learn how to swim. And I did! At present I swim very well, and Pink Martini often comes back in my memory as I swim along. My thanks to the athletes of that time whose performances motivated me to imitate them!
@Roman Korol Interesting! I "learnt" to swim in the first six months of 2019 and could do the front crawl and breaststroke reasonably well, according to club members. I came to the US (U of Iowa) in August 2019 and had resolved to continue practising -- my ambition was to learn the butterfly stroke as well (it was discovered/developed at U Iowa) but Covid put paid all such plans, and when I got into the pool about a month ago in mid-Feb 2023, I realized I would have to relearn everything from (pretty much) scratch. I attended a Pink Martini concert in early 2022, and just love their music! This past month I have been dedicatedly practising swimming for an hour in the pool each day in the morning. Your comment inspires me to learn swimming properly this time around. Maybe I should play Pink Martini pieces more often.
