Very exciting to see you have a new video up. I hope you show us what the weaving piece ends up looking like, I'd love to see it and hear your thoughts on if you feel the choices worked together.
glad I found your channel - I have a huge stash of (mostly donated) yarn. 3 questions: 1) what is your loom? 2) why sock weight yarn to warp? 3) for an 'art weaving project', can the loom be warped with different weights of yarn - like thick and thin?
I am using an ashford sample-it. But is is very similar to the knitter's loom or the schatch cricket. Any rigid heddle loom will do really. Any sock weight will work. even a sturdy lace weight. I usually go for the standard fingering that is 400yds/4oz. Yes different weight yarns can be used. They even make heddles that have movable dents of different sizes for that very techniques.
Thanks! I needed some inspiration! It’s amazing how stuck you can get using your own stash!
beautiful colors! love your work.

Wondering what the scarf turned out like after you wove the project. I am struggling with putting colors together.
I believe I posted a picture of the finished scarf on my instagram. It may even be the scarf in the finishing video here on you tube.
love your work , could you please show how to dye the yarn ,thanks
Yes!! dyeing is the next big online class coming. Probably after the first of the year...
How wide and long are you making this woven piece? Scarf?
Hi Hollyann, the width is about 7 inches off loom and length (not including fringe) is roughly 80”
in love with your work! do you weave to commission?
I have not. But would consider it depending on the commission.
UrbanGypZ I can PM with more information if you like...
