if you watch every free kick the keepers always stand to one side as the wall caver the other side of the goal it does take a top bin to beat the keeper that side and thats what happened
Good performance by the team did what was needed in getting the result and getting into the next round of the cup with good integrity, press and intensity and VP will be happy with that but we did have our little moments after where we could have extended the lead but we held on and showed the PL quality today.
Looked dodgy at the back still against a championship team Agbadou did ok on is debut and will obviously need to settle in the team but Pereira did the right thing by putting him in the team to get that feel. We definitely need another strong centre back. But all good we’re through to the next stage.

Hwang is fine. He is our best finisher who just had a bad day and needs to get back into form. He was great when he came on against Utd and played through the middle. Got in behind twice and caused them problems. Premier League goal scorers are hard to find and we have one in Hwang.

Glad we got through this unscathed and ready for Wednesday's Newcastle match, which is going to be tough. Think we did well without Cunha and a positive debut from Agbadou, but that second half wasn't too convincing to me. If we could just keep the energy and drive shown in that first half, consistently each week for 90 mins, we would be a force to be reckoned with. I think it's down to players overall fitness that holds us back, as we definitely have the drive and spirit to beat practically any team.
