The fresh water programme describes the course taken by rivers and some of the species that take advantage of such a habitat. Only 3% of the world's water is fresh, yet all life on land is ultimately dependent on it.
Its journey begins as a stream in the mountains, illustrated by Venezuela's Tepui, where there is a tropical downpour almost every day. It then travels hundreds of kilometres before forming rapids. With the aid of some expansive helicopter photography, one sequence demonstrates the vastness of Angel Falls, the world's highest free-flowing waterfall. Its waters drop unbroken for nearly 1,000 metres (3,000 feet) and are blown away as a mist before they reach the bottom. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี

Thanks for this vid. I was there a few weeks ago and it's really amazing. It's really breathtaking after a 1 hour flight from Ciudad Bolivar, 5 hours upstream on the Carrao and Churun Rivers sitting on a Curiara ( 1 tree canoe ) and finally 1 hour walk through the dense rainforest. Anyone seeing this video does appreciate nature and should, MUST got there.
Some years ago, whilst on the island of Margherita, we took a flight to Caracas, then a further flight in a small single prop. Passing over the Orinoco, we then flew along side Angel Falls, looking upwards then downwards, before landing on a mudstrip, to be hosted by the Kavak tribe. We were taken to see a another hidden waterfall. To cap it all. Whilst sitting to eat a Hummingbird came right next too me to feed on a flower. Such a fantastic set of experiences.
No one does nature documentaries like the BBC.
And they should have used Jurassic Park Theme. Enjoy the video below

This might not seem a big deal in these days of drones, but they shot this with a camera hanging off a Bell 206…
Consequently this remains one of my favourite aerials of all time.
David Attenboorough and this excellent camera operator created a piece of art.

Everyone that has visited Angel Falls say it is truly amazing (there is a bigger fall but does not have water all year long) not only the fall but the whole scenery around it, Indians still live here and the area is untouched. This is 15x bigger than Niagara Falls and Niagara Falls is amazing! It is sad that the country is going through tough times...

Many people think that Angel Falls got its name because (a) it is so high it seemingly falls from heaven, or (b) the white mist formed at its base resembles an angel’s robe. But in fact neither of these facts, although certainly true, is the reason for the name. It is named after 20th century American bush pilot and explorer Jimmie Angel, a kind of a real-life Indiana Jones, who was the first person to fly over the falls in an airplane!!

@civilisationskerl Fantastic that you want to know: The Salto Angel was named after a pilot: Jimmy Angel, in the year 1937!! He was very interested and with their discoverers they flew together in that year.
But its real name by the tribe "Pemon" language is: kerepakupai vená, that means the deepest water fall. It is the most open-mouth amazing place on Earth.

@HRWINE Hi ¿How are you? Hope you're great :D Just a correction. Angel Falls is located on Venezuela, not Brazil. In fact, Angel Falls is very far from the limits between Brazil and Venezuela.
