This is a live one man band arrangement in the most solid, creative, skillful and just damn jaw dropping sense. You must see it live to believe it. Just how did I hear slap bass - and real congas (not like what Preston Reed, for example, does even better on his guitar as a drum) in this track if there wasn't a corresponding finger movement by the guy on camera, then? I call BS, and I'm a pro musician myself. Not that it wasn't frigging great - just that it wasn't "solo".

This was made in my studio and i'm very proud of it! If there's some sort video cutting mistake that can be possible. Audio is just one take but with quite many different lines. Petteri has been doing this for years and made three albums. We have been thinking a lot how to make this sound from the very beginning.
People who thinks that there's looping in this track, clearly doesn't have any sense of technique. You can CLEARLY see, that he's doing everything LIVE by looking at his hands. I've seen this dude doing this UNPLUGGED at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt! Take a look at Petteri's other videos on TH-cam, and you'll find out that he's an absolute BEAST! I can't wait to get him to Scandinavia!
I didn't know what to think of this! I remember when Joshua Tree came out & never since, in my wildest imagination, did I envision a rendition like this. Since I was awestruck by his talent & the extreme stripping & rebuilding of the song into his own, I had to listen to it again. This song has always meant so much to me, in many personal ways, so I was at first taken back by his creating the song into something nothing like U2's. However, after the 3rd time listening to it, it became obvious: He was singing it from his heart & soul. Therefore, that must be where the creation of his rendition came from. Absolutely beautiful young man! Well done Sir!!

to be honest, i almost skipped this as soon as he started singing. then i spent 30 more seconds on the page.... and this song has been on repeat since. GREAT SONG!

I can't tell you enough man but you are a true inspiration. This is probably one of my favorite tunes of yours. Its unreal the intricacy and ammount of emotion you display in your music.

That being said, this is certainly one of the best hybrid performance, combining fine techniques from finger style to one man band. Honestly, you see many finger style artists (I mean awesome artists, and all of them deserve my sincere respects, hat off*), but it is hard to find as well-balanced performance between techniques and composition as this song. Note: This is my SECOND complementary comment on youtube performance since tommy emmanuel (my guitar hero) during past 10 years. You deserve it mate.
