My friend was a woman like this for 25 years and the minute all her kids became grown her husband put her out of his home because it was in his name and moved in his new woman in. He told my friend that he didn’t care about her because she never worked and helped him out financially. Be careful ladies please.

About the woman who said her mother was stressed doing chores, childcare and working: where was Dad? Was he doing anything around the house or was he sitting in front of the TV doing nothing? If Dad didn’t want to participate in household things, no wonder mom was stressed.

Feminist has become another misused buzzword. Feminist: An advocate of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. Feminism is not about telling women they must have a career outside the home. It’s about equal treatment. If you want to be a trad wife do it, but don’t drag those who want equal pay and equal rights into your argument.

My take is this the women interviewed were not exactly traditional wives the women interviewed have a job which is social media and they make money from it, the issue isn’t cooking and cleaning for your husband what women need to understand is that they need to have some form of independence and be able to care of themselves the women here on the show are Not traditional housewives they simply are housewives. On the other video with the actual traditional women that didn’t have money, jobs and a degree were miserable because the traditional lifestyle is only great when your husband wants to be with you, has health and is alive . So the take away here is ladies take care of yourself with or without a men, marriage shouldn’t be your security.

People can do whatever works for them in their homes, so whatever on that. I just hope they are protecting themselves because there is a very good, very STILL IN EXISTENCE reason that the housewives of the 1940's and 1950's ran away from that bullshit. They had no money of their own and when the husband got tired of them or just wanted to be with a woman who could hold a conversation besides kids, cooking and making paper, then they would leave and take the money with them.
Also, I think it's important to note that *calling yourself a "Trad Wife" **_while also filming yourself for social media and making money off of it_** means You Are NOT A Traditional Wife.* It means you are a liar selling a myth you don't really believe in.

This is exactly what happened to my mom in the 80's Sperm donor convinced her to stay home when I was three because he made enough money. Three years later he was "tired of playing family" and left to be with my (later ex-) step"mother". He cleaned out the bank accounts without warning and when my mom asked him how she was supposed to buy food for me, he said it wasn't his problem anymore. It took a while for my mom to find a job, and in the meantime my mom's family helped out. I had to promise her I'd never make myself dependent on a man, and I never did. I don't mind women being homemakers, unless they see it through rose-colored glasses and believe everything will be fine and dandy 'til death do them part.
And you're so right about these influencers. Most of them are 50's cosplayers. But I have to admit I always get a good laugh when I see them pretending to work their farms/gardens in flimsy white dresses and with perfectly manicured nails.

I'm very much a proponent of traditional marriage. And being submissive doesn't mean getting ordered around. To submit is a choice, no matter who you're submitting to. And the irony is that a lot of career women "would never submit to a man!" and yet they submit to their employers everyday who are mostly men who don't really give a damn about them.

These two women ARE ‘boss-babes’ and ‘bread-winners’, as the income they make off social media is put towards the household budget. They say they r living differently, but it doesn’t seem v. different from what many other mommas r doing: they earn their income from home; and many other mommas from work outside the home (but honestly, with remote work, those mommas r also working-from-home).

Is it realistic to make paper, bread, and crayons from scratch for your kids everyday, no, but it’s cool that they can learn how to do it. It’s like having an in-home field trip. And I def understand what the first woman was saying about the stress of working then coming home to take care of the home, kids, and husband. Why expect women to do the extra work? If households can afford it and both parties are respectful towards each other with and have a say, I don’t see anything wrong with traditional gender roles in marriage.

The issue is that most of these women with these tradwife tick tocks, or a lot of them, are not actually tread wives. It's like a costume they're putting on and trying to portray the most simplistic, superficial Persona of what a 1950s housewife is. To me and the women who I know who are traditional housewives, that ain't it. Sometimes we don't dress fancy because we are running around chasing kids and cleaning and cooking. Sometimes we do though and we like to fix up but life is what it is. A real tread wife gets in there and does what has to be done and helps the family

I beleive kids benefit from a stay at home Mom BUT that Mom had better ensure she is listed as co-owner of their home on the deed and puts some family money aside for her own pension plan, etc. I was raised to believe in tradional marriage values but life and reality taught me that a lot of men do not live up to those shared values when it comes to individual financial planning for their wives. Women please financially protect yourselves and then you can enjoy a traditional way of life. If he doesn't agree with that then RUN now. And shaven legs? If only my husband had been that lucky, ha ha. And nothing but jeans and sweats. Anyway, I'm 49 and have been married 28 years to my sweet hubby, and we have 3 pretty great kiddos who are on their own paths. Being a homemaker was super challenging (especially with me being Bipolar, but I was always loved and supported.) Now I have a degree and have enjoyed outside employment. Well, there are some big financial risks for the woman if she has no money in her own name and one day her husband:
      - Passes away unexpectedly and has not planned his estate
      - Wakes up and decides that he's in love with someone else and wants to move on (50% of US marriages end in divorce by the way in either case)

As far as I've understood, the definition of being a traditional wife means husband is the bread winner and leaves household affairs to his wife, wife is not the bread winner, does not have a job in the workforce, but manages the home and children. In other words she does not have a career, she is not gaining professional experience, and is not preoccupied with having to earn (which is the part that can become a challenge when the husband is removed from the equation.)

The wife who is in the yellow dress seems to have some mental issues based on her video. In India, as a child we play "Ghar Ghar" meaning " Home home" where you play housewife/husband and pretend to do household chores, she is playing Ghar Ghar in real life for social media. At the end of the day that's her choice, however, this trend is extremely dangerous, place for women in third world country is not that great with feminism women at least got some basic rights after thousands of women were burned alive for dowry, now this is setback for women. Its okay to be a homemaker but its not okay to shame women who do not have an option to do the same.

And she had odd jobs here and there but ultimately chose not to work
My father was incredibly abusive and used her as an emotional punching bag
He drank heavily and cheated on her
Now they’re in their 70s and live off his pension
He struts his stuff on the beach and calls all the ladies by the poolside his “girlfriends”
When I was a kid I begged my mom to leave him, but she always told me she couldn’t because of financial reasons
While I was growing up I vowed NEVER to let myself be HER
Got myself educated including my masters
I also learned a second language as an adult

I'm sorry you and your mother had to go through that. My wife and I are in a traditional marriage of 16 years, and it's very important for anyone pursuing this kind of lifestyle to make sure the other person has the same values. Sounds like he was utterly failing at being a traditional husband ("provide and protect", etc.)
I'd recommend that people court rather than just date. Ask the important questions right away, on that very first date even, before strong feelings have any chance of being caught. Because as we all know, once you catch feelings for someone, "love is blind" and you'll either ignore or downplay any red flags. That goes for everyone, whether you're seeking a trad relationship or not.

I do believe men and women are different, but equal... GOD CREATED us with unique gifts... but in the BIBLE we see that both men and women were involved IN THE MINISTRY OF JESUS...and when it comes to submission there is the other part... husbands love your wives like CHRIST LOVES the Church... but these women are working they are social influencers... so that throws out their entire trad persona that they are trying to cultivate... also we live in a world where many men and women both have to work to support their families... so I say do you without judging others... judgement of others is not our job unless there is a crime being committed...stay out of folks' business and LET GOD...

Four kids. Does she need those extra hands on the farm? No.
