  • So my meth system failed me again and my nozzle/check valve couldn't take the pressure. So in this one to solve that problem we are installing a methanol solenoid to help cut off the flow exactly where needed!

    I ran a snow performance selenoid with the aem kit worked well

    Sounds like AEM needs to look into redesigning that solenoid! I was going to run that kit in mine.

    I kept blowing the hose off the inlet of the solenoid. Change to snow

    Problem solved? My BMW N55 does the same if I shut off the car shortly after a WOT pull. Dont get any engine codes though and the DME will adjust for the methanol in the charge pipe within a second or so. I have twin nozzles and a shared check valve ~30cm from the nozzles. No solenoid valve as I had one fail on me.

    hi can you tell me which wire is what on the solenoid as mine came with no instructions so just two black wires cheers bd

    Dont complain if u were too cheap or ignorant to spring for the solenoid in the first place

    • @RoadRoyals
      @RoadRoyals  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha its not a thing of being cheap or ignorant when the nozzles are suppose to hold up on their own.

    The problem your having is with the throttle body spacer. Putting the nozzle behind the throttle body exposes it to the engine vacuum in the manifold when you aren't pressing the gas pedal. Remove the spacer, and install the nozzle in the intake tube in front of the throttle body.

      Seems odd that this is a common method to inject meth on our speeds if it causes this issue..

  • @corysullivan4015
    @corysullivan4015 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did this wind up fixing the issue? My kit is on the way with the V3 nozzle and solenoid and I really don't want any issues.

    Dam, thats annoying AF. Looking at buying a meth kit in the next couple of months myself, so issues like this are a bit worrying. Please let us know if the solenoid did end up fixing the issue =D

      Sorry for the late response! This car is just straight pipe exhaust!

    Have you unplugged S.W.A.S ever? unplugged removes the boost limit in 1-3rd gears. (has to be unpluggged)

      The swas eliminates the steering angle sensor from dumping fuel and retard timing.. the boost limit 1-2 is eliminated through a tune

    • @numinous4789
      @numinous4789 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      On my 2010 Genpu, unplugging the SWAS is a night-and-day difference. I could get deep into the tuning elements involved in SWAS intervention, but the short of it is a significant positive improvement occurs, particularly on 2010s. On other years the intervention may not be as significant. Also, since I'm at ~390whp on my S3 setup, it makes the difference all the more pronounced and positive.
