ggod story. I like the idea of an ancient vampire rising to destroy an alien invader. But some of it does not make sense. If the vampire had faked being human and had led human resistance, then it seems that he must have cared about humans at lest a little. And what did he do about the humans prisoners on the moon? Did he free them? Also while it would make sense to kill all of the officers on the moon, it is not likely that the officers commanding a prison would be all the high ranking in this Empire. A bit too much hyperbole in the story. I would have liked to see some more of Marcus character, his motivations. But I love the idea. Can you just imagine humanity owing it's survival and freedom to a vampire lord?
In some Vampire stories (Dracula by Bram Stoker), Vampires are weakened in Sunlight. In Nosferatu (1922 movie), sunlight destroys them.
The AI voice seems to stumble on the odd occasion, sounds like a goat bleating!
Even humans stumble
AI isn't suppose to stumble.
